And I know that you're scared Seems like someone said you had it in you So Charlotte had kept this a secret for a week or so now. She knew that there was a possibility that certain investors had found her work interesting enough and wanted to help her open her own label, but she also knew that there was a greater possibility that they would find a much better person than her to back. After all, Charlotte’s drawings weren’t anything amazingly unique or anything. In fact, she found most of them rather average, despite what other people insisted on. So rather than getting her hopes up and getting excited about it, she just pretended like she had never had the conversation with the inquiring investors. That was until this particular morning when said investors had called her again to inform her that they were every interested in her work and wanted her back in LA by the end of the month to sign paperwork and contracts. That gave her two more weeks before she was moving back to Los Angeles for good. Honestly, she was excited as anything. She missed LA, as tour life just really wasn’t for her. Plus, this was it, this was her dream coming true. She had been constantly trying to get her work noticed before she went off on tour. Its not like she really expected anything to come of it. She had always found her stuff rather mediocre. Modest was definitely a word that described this girl.
It had been hard to go all day without spilling it to someone. This girl was extremely excited, and instantly wanted to call and tell Kelley, but she knew that he was spending the day with Dayna since he was taking her out tonight. She really didn’t want to interrupt that, or really tell him over the phone. She could have always went and spilled it to Grace first thing, but then again she really wanted to tell Kelley first. So all days she was brimming with excitement, and in a fantastic mood. It was obvious that she was showing it, as a few people had commented on it, but she had just smiled and claimed she was having a wonderful day, which was precisely accurate. She made her way from the While You Were Out bus, after finally getting that darn squirrel to leave her bunk in peace so that she could actually stay on the bus of the band she worked for, rather than crashing on every other bands bus, to the All For Dayna bus, where she had told Kelley she would meet him at six. Surprisingly, Dayna didn’t seem to care that they were leaving as soon as the promise of ice cream and some cartoon movie about penguins was promised by Grace.
They had had a rather nice dinner. It wasn’t extremely fancy, but it wasn’t fast food and for that Charlotte was incredibly thankful for. Seriously, she had to run extra miles to burn off all of the junk she had basically been forced to eat, as apparently the Venues didn’t know what healthy food was, and she was pretty positive that fast food restaurants found ways of deep frying even their salads. It had been rather nice to spend time alone with Kelley. Usually there was someone else always around when they got time to hang out. Usually it was Dayna though, and Charlotte didn’t mind one bit. She loved the little girl to pieces, and it was amusing to listen to her rattle on about how her day was, or the plans that she often made without telling anyone one about it first, but still expecting it to happen, which it often did as who could really say no to the three year old? Charlotte had learned long ago that she wasn’t able to say no to the girl, as Dayna had quickly learned all she had to do was act like she was about to cry and Aunt Charlotte would usually give in pretty easily. But if it wasn’t Dayna around them, it was Garret, or Noah, or fans, or something. Its not that Charlotte terribly minded. It was hard to have alone time when you were on tour, and it was doubly harder when your boyfriend had a three year old daughter. So, a lot of their dates consisted of Kelley, herself and Dayna, but honestly Charlotte loved it. There were a few rare occasions, such as tonight, where someone would watch Dayna so that they could have alone time. Tonight Garret and Grace had offered to take Dayna out for Ice cream and a movie. They were in Maryland for a few days, so it gave everyone a proper chance to go out and explore. Most people took full advantage of it and no one could blame them. Seeing the world through the window of a tour bus got boring after a while.
After dinner, the two took a taxi cab across town, where someone had told them a park was. It was a rather nice night out, and Kelley had suggested they take a walk through the park. Honestly, the girl found this extremely adorable. How many boys do you know that suggest taking a night walk through the park. So they had strolled around a bit, holding hands and talking. She always found it amusing how they never really ran out of things to talk about. It seemed she was constantly finding out something new about the boy, and honestly she loved learning about what made Kelley Gaston tick. She honestly never thought she would ever say the words ‘I love you’ to a person in a band ever again after Orion. She figured that it was useless as they usually had a ‘bad boy’ side to them, and she was over the bad boy thing. But yet, she found herself dating Kelley Gaston. Even better, around two months ago they had actually told each other that they did love one another. Sure, it seemed a little early, as they had only been dating for a month, but Charlotte knew what love was, and she knew that she certainly did love this boy.
As they walked and held hands, Charlotte figured it was as good of a time as any, since she was practically about to burst anyway. “So there is something I have been wanting to tell you all day. I got a phone call from an investor this morning.”
she said glancing up and over at him. God he was tall. Excitement took over her and she found the rest of the words spilling out of her mouth before she could really stop it. “Theywerereallyinterestedinmyworkandwanttohelpfundmyownfashionline!!! I have to be back in Los Angeles in two weeks to sign contracts and get started.” she couldn’t help but smile a ginormous smile. Honestly, she was in the perfect mood right now, nothing could go wrong in her books. She was with the man she loved, her dreams were coming true, and she had the best friend a person could ask for. we've got to do these crazy things sometimeswe'll be fine, just realize that everything's all right
Dating on tour was hard. That was the sad fact. Sure, Kelley hadn’t expect to date anyone while they were on tour, but really, what was happening with charlotte really was just different. It made him reconsider his whole philosophy on how tour relationships were doomed to fail. He would have used garret as an example, but seeing as the guy was now engaged that didn’t’ work out too well did it? nope. And really, charlotte was disproving his theories too. Kelley really wouldn’t have even figured he would be dating the girl. He really had been a wreck come around the time he asked her out, and when they had first started dating. She really was the first relationship since Dayna that he cared for. Even though they’d only been dating for about two months, it really was an incredible two months for him. he was on tour with all his friends and his daughter. He was dating the girl that he was sure he loved, and really, everything was going great. The only problem really, was alone time. On the bus, with Dayna, with the fans, with everyone in general, there really was no time for them to be alone. Really, in the past two months, they’d had a handful of dates alone. The majority of their dates were with Dayna, who was probably the only other person in this world that could compete with Charlotte. Though he could never say no to Charlotte, Dayna was the one he absolutely could not refuse, so course, the little miss was always dragged to wherever him and charlotte were going.
When Kelley had decided he wanted to take Charlotte out for the night, without Dayna, he had tried talking garret and grace into watching Dayna for him. she admired them just as much as she admired Kelley and charlotte; she was forever coming up to the two whenever they were actually planning their wedding and not fighting over something absolutely ridiculous. Actually Dayna was pretty certain they were going to have a Little Mermaid themed wedding, and knowing her, that would remain with her until the actual day of their wedding. But that wasn’t the point. Either way, he was glad when Grace had agreed to bring her along with her and garret for ice cream and a movie. It just meant Kelley could plan something to do with charlotte, alone. Sure, it would not be much, as being a twenty year old guy in a band with a three year old, and other guys who had mental ages lower than his own daughter, money was sort of an issue. But he was going to make it worth. The one thing that sucked about this boy now was that, ever since he had softened up and kind of cleaned himself up, he was a wreck when it came to love. He really was often trying his hardest. Even right now. Though he had only been in the relationship with charlotte for under two months, just about two months really, he was so afraid of messing it up. Ever since Dayna had passed away, it had taken him forever to bounce back. He was sure that, if he did end up fucking this up, bouncing back wouldn’t really be possible for him. fuck, the first time around he had pretty much abandoned his daughter within the first few weeks of her life. What the fuck would he do this time around? Leave the band?
He wouldn’t think about that. all that was in his mind was how he was going to just spend the night with Charlotte. it had started out perfectly really. They’d gone out to dinner, and though it wasn’t a big fancy restaurant or anything, it was nice enough that it was not fast food. He knew that she wasn’t a fan of it, hence her going running whenever there was the chance on tour ( Something he still refused to do. He didn’t need it; he still weighed about a hundred and twenty something pounds at six three ). Really, it was sort of her night, even if the choices were limited. After eating, the only idea he had had was going to the park and just walked around. Sure, it was nine thirty at night, but hey, it wasn’t a bad idea at all. Besides, the good thing with them was, even if they were simply walking through a part, or wherever, they somehow always managed conversation. Conversations weren’t his strong point, especially with charlotte, but really, listening to the girl was just fine. Even if contributing intellectual ideas for conversations wasn’t his thing, he was good at cracking jokes, and just making her laugh. And really, that was all the worth it. He loved seeing her smile, he loved her facial expressions, whenever she was frustrated with a new sketch, whenever she was playing with Dayna, whenever she was just talking to him about simple things like the weather.
His fingers were playing idly with hers as they held hands, walking down the moonlight path. They had passed a number of benches so far, but really, the walking and talking right now just seemed to work out better for them. It had been silent for a few moments between them; kelley’s eyes were staring down at his worn out shoes and her shoes. Their feet were in step with each other without even trying, and for some reason it amused him. he pulled his head up slowly from his current amusement as he heard her voice stating that she wanted to tell him something. hearing the word investor, he felt his mouth turning up into a smile. She was forever drawing clothing ideas, and even though he always told her they were great, amazing even, she hardly ever believed him. maybe this was the proof she’d needed, harhar. Listening to her, he couldn’t help but laugh as her words blended together with her excitement. Stopping in the middle of the bath, he took her face in his hands and leaned down, pressing his lips against hers. “Babe, that’s amazing! Your own line, really? That great!” This really was exciting. It really wasn’t everyday that someone got offered the opportunity to open their own fashion line. And so soon? So soon… “Wait…. Two weeks? You have to go back in two weeks….?” He pulled back a bit, staring down at her, his eyebrow raised as his arms fell limply to his sides. She couldn’t …. That meant she would be leaving in two weeks.. as in leaving tour. “You… you’re going back to LA in two weeks…. Tour’s not over for another month at least…” Fuck, this wasn’t supposed to be about that… he should have been happy. But really, all he could think about was the fact that right now she was telling him that she had to leave tour. Leave him. taking a few steps back, he walked over to the nearest bench to them and crash on it, staring at his shoes, trying to process his thoughts. Reaching up, he grabbed her hand, tugging on it gently, inviting her to sit on his lap, kind of how they did on either of their buses, instead this time it wasn’t for fun really. “Charlotte, really… two weeks? You only have two weeks left… with … with us? With… with me?”

And I know that you're scared Seems like someone said you had it in you
She smiled a huge smile as she heard his laugh and felt his hands on either side of her face, pulling her into a quick peck on the lips. “I know ! I was so surprised. I mean, I knew it was a possibility when they called me a few weeks ago but I never imagined-“
she stopped as she heard him say wait, then ask if she had to go back in two weeks. “Yes. They want paperwork and all that to be filed by the end of the month so we can get started right away….” she let her sentence drop as she felt him pull back and stare down at her. What was wrong? He just seemed so happy for her just a few minutes ago, and now he was acting like she just confessed to killing his cat, or told him that she wasn’t really named Charlotte and that everything she told him had been a lie. Hearing him explain that the tour wasn’t over for another month at least, she just kind of looked down at her feet. “I know but I do not think they would wait that long…I am sure that they can find another merch girl for While You Were Out…I mean it is not hard to sell t-shirts and cds…” even as she said this, she knew it wasn’t exactly what he was referring to. She really didn’t want to go a long length of time with out seeing him, but then again he was out living his dream, why shouldn’t she be? Honestly, not once had the thought of her actually leaving the tour behind meant leaving Kelley behind crossed her mind. Subconsciously she supposed that she had known, which was the reason she wanted to tell him first, and not around anyone else. She frowned as Kelley walked over to a bench. Almost helplessly, she followed him over there, unsure of what to do or say. She really didn’t want to leave him, but yet this was a once in a lifetime opportunity. She wouldn’t pass it up, of that much she knew. She forced a smile as he took her hand and tugged at it gently. She sat on his lap and leaned against him, placing her head in the crook of his neck. “Two weeks is a lot of time Kelley.” she said taking one of his giant hands into both of hers as she played with his fingers idly, trying to think of the right things to say. “You all will only be on tour for another month or two after I leave. I promise it will not be a lot of time. Plus, you and I… we can talk on the phone…text…do video chats. I mean, this can still work out. We can make us work you know.” She said, bringing the hand she held in hers up to her lips to kiss his fingers. It was almost funny how if she had been with any of her ex boyfriends, she probably would have just told them to suck it up, that work came first and they knew it. That was often the reason that she did end up getting dumped or breaking up with a guy. But Kelley…Kelley was different. She almost did not want to go, but she knew that either way she would go. How would she be able to live with herself if she did not go? She would have to look at herself in the mirror everyday, knowing that she had the opportunity of a life time and she passed it up. She let a few moments of silence surround them before sitting up. She turned herself to where she was now facing him, with a leg on either side of his torso. “Hey…talk to me.” she said, giving a small smile that she really wasn’t feeling. She was starting to think that maybe now wasn’t the best time to have told him. Maybe she should have let them have their nice night out alone, and then told him another time. Then again she hadn’t planned on this happening either. Clearly she hadn’t thought of what leaving for Los Angeles meant. She watched him, expectantly, wanting on him to say something, anything. Anything would be better than him just sitting there, staring off. “Maybe this was not the best time to tell you.” she said, frowning. She honestly hoped that he did not push her away for the next two weeks. Honestly, she didn’t know if she would be able to handle it if acted like this until she left. Right now she felt like she needed to take a nice long run. Runs always helped her clear her mind, helped her think, but she really couldn’t do that right now could she? Instead, she placed a kiss on his forehead before letting herself slide off his lap. Pacing back and forth slowly, she realized that she was actually leaving a lot behind. Kelley, Dayna, Grace, all of her other friends that were on tour with her. But then again, if she didn’t go…if she chose to stay here she would probably never forgive herself. Offers like this didn’t come everyday. Heck, it had taken her almost a year and a half to even get someone to look at her sketches. She knew that regardless she had to go. She was going, and that was that. She just hoped that Kelley could understand this was something she had to do. [/blockquote][/blockquote] Kelley//Rini-928-OUTFIT Ugh. I don’t know why I cant write a decent post for the life of me.
