fall for every empty word i say * Noahstared at the small television almost blankly as he and Rori sat and watched nothing in particular. He didn't really know what it was, she had the remote and Noah would usually watch anything so he wasn't too arsed really. Licking his lips, he adjusted himself in his seat restlessly and tilted his head horizontally when a striking image came on the screen. He regretted it pretty immediatedly. He'd do anything to just light up a spliff right now, except Noah wouldn't as their was a pregnant lady living on board and no matter how much they apparently hated each other right now, he wasn't going to hurt the baby. Plus, it wasn't exactly like he needed the bus driver to hate him any more then he already did. Winter Pursuit had driven for 6 hours longer then everyone else after a number of mishaps when they'd first arrived on tour and since then, the driver, 'big man jeff' Noah liked to call him even if it wasn't his name, held a grudge. Chewing his bottom lip, Noah lifted a hand and flicked his hair to push it out of his eyes and stop it from being so flat. It was something of a habit now and it was his familiar 'hair flick' that some of the fan girls tended to grin at one another when it happened like it was some private joke. Noah didn't know, nor did he want to know what that joke was. He'd learnt a long time not to google his own name, unless of course he wanted to read creepy stories about him and other males, some of whom he had only met once or twice. It was weird, but their obsessiveness wasn't aided any by Avalon posting creepy videos of him on the toilet or asleep on WP's site. Sure, it was often funny but the comment section underneath was not. The one of him on the toilet was certainly the weirdest and he refused to see what was being spoken about it.
"I'm gonna grab my laptop." Noah uncrossed his legs from his rather strange sitting position and headed to the bunk area of the bus. He didn't look around at everything and anything like he usually did so that if Winter was there he wouldn't have to catch her gaze. Things were awkward enough right now and he didn't have to try and come up with something to say to lessen that any. Bamf spotted Noah and he smiled at the dog, him being far bigger now from when he had been a little puppy. Luckily, Bamf had taken a liking to Noah which was significant because children and dogs never usually did. Scratching behind the rottweiler's ear, Noah stood up on his tiptoes a bit to reach into his bunk and pull out his laptop from beneath his pillow. Heading back to the where Rori was on the bus, Noah had still yet to consider what he was going to do when the tour eventually reached the next stop and whether another hotel would be necessary. If things became too awkward on the bus then he would do it, purely to make sure that Rori or Orion didn't get caught up in what was frankly a pathetic fight. Still, Noah was way too stubborn, as apparently was Winter, for either of them to apologise in the normal fashion. Throwing himself down onto the couch again, Noah crossed his legs indian style and rested his mac on his knees, bringing up the screen and letting it load. Watching the television again as it did so, Noah flicked his hair again without even realising and looked down at his desktop. "Oh!" That reminded him. "Lyrics!" He had lyrics that he had promised to show Roar over the chat. Noah thought it was only right that she could see them first as she had been the main inspiration for it. At one of Noah's lowest points over the past week, Roar spoke some fantastic words to him that had stuck with him from the moment he had read it stuck inside that god damn hotel room like he had been for days.
It had been some little shitty motel that looked like had been host to at least 6 murders and 5 drug raids. Actually, for Noah, it had been perfect. Sure, the setting probably hadn't been very healthy for his emotional state but the inspiration that was drawn from it was just brilliant. Noah was a perfectionist when it came to their music, it was no secret. He had made the band record and then record songs again if one little thing had been wrong at the end but the music was everything to the lead singer. He could see it now in the interviews when they brought out the next album and the familiar questions of where did he find the inspiration for the lyrics or where did he write it came up. What would he say? That was, assuming of course, that Winter Pursuit brought out another album. Things were all up in the air at this moment in time... it wasn't handy when the lead singer and drummer appeared to hate each others guts. Although he would never admit it, Noah had never felt so lonely without his bestie, Winter. She was the one who had always understood him the most, more then anyone else. They'd been through everything together, hell he had been one of the two people she had first told about being pregnant. That was a big deal. Damn his stubborness and pride. Turning his mac in his lap, Noah showed Rori the document with the lyrics for one of the song on. "I was thinking we could do it like a duet, you know?" Sure, at first Noah had been terrified of showing the others his lyrics but now, he was used to it. He didn't mind if they had some creative input to throw in, truthfully he craved it. Noah getting anal about his own work would be nothing new and fresh eyes could only help it.

they sink like a stone in their majesty.
She sat on the sofa, remote in hand, flicking through the stations, before finding a movie or something on one of the channels. It was rare that she was actually paying attention, but the movie was interesting enough. Maybe it was a drama, or something like that, Rori didn't really know what she would classify it as, but she had found herself engrossed in the pictures that were moving in front of her. It was silent, save for the sound of the television in front of them. She had glanced over at Noah about fifteen minutes ago, before she had actually found something that was worth watching. That didn't mean, however, that she wouldn't be changing the channels for the commercials. What kind of person could honestly tell someone that they enjoyed watching the commercials? Rori hated them, in fact, she sometimes would watch children's channels just for the fact that there were no commercials. Anyway, the point was, Rori wasn't at all phased by the silence, actually. It was sort of comfortable, but perhaps it was because she spent a lot of time in silence; when she wasn't hopelessly and obnoxiously loud.
Rori was sitting with her knees resting against the side of the couch, resting one of her elbows on the side of the couch, proping her head up on her hand as she watched, barely blinking. Sometimes, she had this strange habit where she would go a long period of time without blinking. When she was younger, her brothers would throw things at her to see if it would get her to blink, and when she didn't, they would think that she was sleeping. However, this wasn't the case, it only really happened when she was watching something really intensely on the television, or when she was day dreaming, or even, in some cases, playing her guitar. Everyone had their quirks, and that happened to be one of Rori's, which was kind of funny, in some cases, because it scared people. But, she eventually blinked, stifling a yawn; fatigue overcoming her as it always did. It was a wonder she was ever awake, because she seemed to always be tired from staying up late.
The girl generally liked being in the band; it gave her something to do, and it was like a seperate family for her. Mind, this was a family that Rori actually didn't mind being with. They weren't blood relatives, which was good, because her relatives all annoyed her to no end. Also, she could actually put up with them, as they weren't constantly bothering her about things. Basically, is was a comfortable way for her to live, because they were making music, which was one of the most important things to her. Had she not left Ireland, Rori didn't know what she would be doing with her life at that point in time, but she probably wouldn't be enjoying herself as much as she was, to be honest. But, that was a way of life, there were things that a person enjoyed, and things that they didn't enjoy. Rori was just lucky enough to be one of the people that didn't end up in a building, sitting in silence and staring straight ahead as other people walked by, who just wished that they were doing what their hearts had screamed at them to do. She was actually getting to live her dream. Although, at the moment, she could do without some of the tension.
Noah's voice broke the silence, and Rori looked over at him, nodding. "All right," she said, as though his words were barely registering in her mind. Television should have been illegal. There were too many catchy things on it that could distract a person, which would be the reason for her somewhat oblivious state of mind. It was an unhealthy solution to life, where one might be able to find themselves getting lost in the lives that were lived by fictional characters. It was like a book, but it was stealing the imagination's job and putting it out of work; it was lowering the levels of literacy all over the world and killing an age. But, none the less, Rori loved her television time. She continued to sit on the sofa, staring at the screen in front of her, before she got bored, flicking the channel to something new, and not really paying any attention to it at all. Her mind wandered for a few moments, thinking of the events of the night prior, or maybe it was a dream that she had had. It didn't really matter, but she liked to think that it was real. Maybe she was crazy, and imagined a lot of the things that were happening to her. It would make sense, but her mind slowly faded back as there was a shifting, and then Noah spoke again.
This was actually the first proper time in a good while that Rori and Noah had actually sat down on the same sofa, as he'd been avoiding the bus. Rori hadn't got all the details, as she hadn't really asked Winter about it, and Noah just didn't seem to want to talk about what had actually happened too much when they were talking in the online chat, but she got the jist of it: Noah and Winter weren't talking, and Noah had left the bus and wasn't staying there at that point in time. Thankfully, however, he had made his way over there, which pleased her. It made things seem a little bit more normal, and a bit less dysfunctional. Although, when she really thought about it, no one's life was really functional; no family, by blood or by band, was really functional. Functional was not the norm.
"Right! You have to show those to me!" Rori said, turning her body so she was now looking at him, moving over a bit, so she could actually read what she was looking at. He had been telling her that he'd wrote a song that she inspired somehow. She was instantly curious when she'd heard this, and was looking forward to seeing what it was. Rori loved reading his lyrics, because it was an interesting way to start off. A lot of bands simply did the whole, 'okay, let's figure out the instrumental bits, then add the lyrics', but it seemed like Winter Pursuit liked to shake things up, which she enjoyed. Her eyes flickered over the screen, reading the lyrics, and taking it in, imagining what the guitar might sound like to it while she played it along in her head. He then mentioned it being a duet, and she looked up at him, thinking, looking back at the lyrics, and nodding. "Yeah, I can see that working,"
she said. "I really like this, by the way!" Rori smiled at him, before looking away and humming in thought. "You figure out how you wanted it to sound yet? Or are we just going to be coming up with something, then?" It was a question that he should have known she would ask, because Rori was a curious girl, and she often asked questions like that. So, it shouldn't have been a shock to him. She rather enjoyed reading the lyrics that he came up with, because they were a really important part of the music. Rori didn't know a lot of people who actually went out of their way to find music without lyrics, and singing along was contagious, so it was a good thing to have lyrics. She then looked back at the words, working it out a bit in her mind. "Might have to change some words around a bit, but I think it'll probably work well once there's music to it?" [/blockquote][/blockquote] thread progression: complete. word count: 1292 to: leigh&shmey! lyrics: andrew landon. sounds: saved - andrew landon. current mood: happy pappy. XP extra stuff: oh hai. ;D

i'll miss your perfect charming selfishness, i can't say goodbyeso i sit here finding a way, surrounded but still lonely. ( Your Absence Here Doesn't Help ) Bamf tugging on his leash pulled Winter along the sidewalk that would lead them back to the buses. He was a friendly dog, which was good because fans recognized him too and always wanted to pet him when he was with any of the Winter Pursuit members. Win normally took him to the merch tent with them too when they signed autographs. She took him a lot of places actually. She hated to leave him cooped up on the bus all day. She knew she hated being in there for long periods of time so he probably did too. Of course, although he was friendly, he did get protective over everyone in the band, especially her. It was like the dog could tell that she didn't like people touching her stomach other than Caleb. When anyone did so, Bamf was immediately at her side, growling a light warning. She would shush him and tell her fans not to mind him, but they usually got the picture and stopped touching. She would pet Bamf and give him treats for it later. The dog was like her best friend. Well, now, he basically was. Her and Noah had gotten into a huge fight that ended with neither of them speaking to one another. Winter even went as far as asking who anyone was talking about when they brought him up. She acted like she didn't even know who he was. Why should she? He had said some really hurtful things to her. He had brought up how she was immature because she was pregnant and that he had never claimed to be her best friend. Those statements had really hit her hard and she had lost her control. She had said some rude things back to him as well. She regretted it. She really did. Because Noah was her best friend and she secretly missed being able to talk to him. Not to mention they had already canceled a show because of their fight and that bothered her as well. She knew how much playing on stage meant to everyone in the band and how it sucked for them all that they had missed out on it.
Reaching the bus, She ran a hand through her hair and took of her sunglasses. Winter unhooked Bamf from his leash and let him roam through the bus as he pleased. She slipped off her shoes and started walking to the back lounge where she heard the tv on. However, she stopped as she saw Rori and Noah sitting on the couch, their backs to her. She silently turned around and went to her bunk. She laid down and searched for her phone which she had left behind on her walk. She hadn't really felt like talking to anyone. She had just been in one of those moods. Finding her cell, she replied back to a message from Caleb and one from Kenzie. Kenz hadn't been happy that they had canceled the show and she had been constantly checking to see how things were looking for the next one. Winter promised that she would grin and bear it and play the show, despite how her and Noah were right now. She just knew that the day they had fought playing would have been a bad idea. She had been ready to attack Noah and if she would have had to see him, she probably would have. That would have been an interesting show for the fans. All their fans knew that Noah and Winter were super tight and a few of them had gotten word about them fighting. She had gotten a few Direct Messages on Twitter but she had ignored them. She was sure though, now, that she could keep her calm and play a show through without trying to attack her now ex best friend. Speaking of, her eyes glanced to the side slightly as she saw Noah getting something from his bunk across from hers. She pretended not to notice and focused back on her phone as Bamf jumped down from her bunk that he had been taking the majority of and padded over to Noah. "Traitor." She mumbled under her breath so that even she barely heard herself.
Her phone's battery started blinking and she groaned as she knew exactly where the charger was. The back lounge. She thought about letting it die, but she was talking to Caleb and she didn't want to stop. She rolled out of her bunk and started toward the back lounge. She didn't look at Rori or Noah as she walked next to the couch and bent to the outlet to unplug her charger. Standing back up, she felt sharp pains on both sides of her stomach and she let out a sound of pain. She felt her face pale as she dropped her charger and her phone to the floor and her hands went to her stomach as she cried out again. She wasn't sure what was going on and she started to panic. She knew it wasn't the baby kicking, she had gotten used to that feeling. She turned to face Noah and Rori, her face scared and worried. She mouthed the word 'ow' a few times as more pain hit her and she could get nothing else out. She heard Bamf whining and felt his cold nose on the back of her leg but she paid little attention to him. "Pain. Stomach. Oh my god." Winter said through breaths. The pain felt like sharp jabs on each side of her stomach and she was starting to worry. She looked to Noah, forgetting completely about hating him at the moment. "What if something's wrong with the baby?! What do I do!?" She was freaking out because of the worry and pain. She had been doing everything right so that they baby would be healthy. What if something was wrong with it now? What if she had missed something? She hadn't felt it kick all day. What if.. no she didn't want to think about that. If she lost the baby she would go crazy. She would be a wreck, a mess. She winced as she felt the sharp pain again. This wasn't good. TAGG? leigh//emily <33 WORDS? 1040 NOTES? sorry it sucks. loveyouguys <3
