(( may thirtieth , 2006 )) cause this is the real thing
, love changes everything * ( THIS IS THE NIGHT WHEN EVERY HEART'S EXPLODING! )
"mason! mason, get up! the murray's are coming over in an hour...mason? mason! get out of bed!" ugh. it was too early to be awake, mason decided as he rolled over in his bed, covering his head with his pillow as he tried to block out his mother. he didn't even know who the hell the murray's were. he was just supposed to be meeting caleb later for the movies. he hadn't known the kid for too long, but he was fast becoming mason's best friend. and they were going to see the new film out today and... shit. now he remembered who the murray's were. some friend of the family and his daughter who was staying in l.a with him for the summer. and mason had offered to show her around, being the nice, charitable person he was. all summer. and sure, he didn't mind all that much, but still, he'd been looking forward to just lazing around, celebrating the fact he wasn't in school. he'd turned fifteen a couple of months ago, he was in his first year of high school, he had to have something to look forward to, and that was the summer holidays. and now they were all taken up by this random girl he hadn't even met yet. for both their sake's, he really, really hoped she wasn't ugly. not that he was shallow like that. it'd just be much easier to handle if she was hot, you know? 'mason! i can't hear you getting up!" there was his mother, yet again. he supposed he shouldn't really take the piss any longer. he wanted to look half decent, right? so, groaning, he yelled out 'yeah, yeah mom, i'm getting up now, promise!",
before rolling out of bed with a long sigh. shit, it was cold. that might be his own fault though. he didn't sleep in pyjamas - not that he slept naked either, mind you - and all he wore was a pair of boxers and an oversized t-shirt, now dubbed his "sleeping shirt", or something cooler than that. luckily, the bathroom was free. that the one of the only good things about being an only child. the bathroom was almost never busy. his parents always got up before him, and were dressed by the time he resurfaced, unless it was a school day, so he never had to wait to get in the shower.. and there was always hot water. he turned on the shower, pulling a face at the mirror on the wall as he got into the shower and began to wash. he often took far too long in the shower, it drove everybody crazy at the amount of water he used up, but it was all for a good cause, yeah? so it didn't really matter. he supposed he should cut his shower a bit short though, as the murray's were coming in.. hm around forty five minutes? that was usually the amount of time he spent in the shower. so, after twenty minutes, he turned off the water and stepped out, drying himself quickly with a couple of the towels on the rails. he stared at himself idly in the mirror for a few seconds. he had that stupidly weird haircut his father had nearly forced him to get a couple of weeks ago, claiming his hair as getting too long. now it was just above his ears, and his fringe finished right in his eyes. it was the most annoying thing in the world. and it constantly stayed there. no matter how much he tried to push it out of the way, it always slid right back into place. usually that would be a good thing, but it bugged mason dreadfully. sighing slightly, he scrubbed his hair with the towel until it was as dry as he could get it, before going back into his room and changing. he wasn't really going to try and impress anyone horribly with his outfit. his mother was probably expecting him to wear a tux or something.. he didn't even think he actually owned a tux. that was probably a good thing. they looked awfully smart and cool, but also really uncomfortable. and besides, it was summer. all of his shorts were in the wash though, he realized as he rummaged through his closet. oh well. one day in a pair of jeans wouldn't hurt, right? he pulled his favourite pair of dark denim jeans on. they possibly weren't the smartest thing in the world, but they sure were comfortable, and that's all he cared about. he also tugged on the rage against the machine tee his cousin had brought for his birthday, and played with his hair for a bit, before grabbing the nearest hat he could find and jamming it on. his hair was just messing around. it wouldn't stick down, so the hat would have to do. without bothering to check on his appearance any longer, he pulled on a pair of socks and jogged downstairs, glancing at the clock on the way. fifteen minutes until the murray's arrived. he grabbed some toast from a plate in the middle of the table and tore a chunk off, stuffing it into his mouth and lounging against the kitchen counter as he ate. his mother hurried downstairs and tutted at his outfit - yup, she had envisioned him in a tux, in may, he was sure that was it. 'why are you wearing that hat? it'll ruin your hair,' she said with a sigh. mason just shrugged, 'my hair was dodgy? and it stops me from getting sunburnt?' she raised an eyebrow, but only told him to not speak with his mouth full, before going into the main room. finishing his breakfast quickly, he rummaged through the fridge before pulling out the milk bottle and taking a quick swig from the bottle before putting it back in quickly, before his mother saw him. he loved her dearly, both her and his father, but he was sure neither of them would appreciate his bad manners. yeah, he should probably work on that. he heard the distant throttle of an engine as the murray's, presumably, rolled into their driveway and parked, and carefully studied himself in the reflection of the vase of flowers on the kitchen table quickly, making sure he didn't have a milk moustache or something. once he'd figured out he didn't, he quickly pulled on a pair of his ( very battered ) dc's before walking out into the driveway, where simon and savannah murray were standing awkwardly. 'mom! dad! the murray's are-' he began to yell into the house before his parents appeared, beams on their faces as they approached the father and greeted each other like long lost friends. or something. mason awkwardly eyed up the girl in front of him. she was quite pretty, he'd give her that, he conceded, not being too flattering as she really was the only thing that was stopping his whole summer from being super amazing pool parties and staying in bed until two in the afternoon. 'oh, hi,' he said reluctantly, extending his hand as he wasn't about to hug her or anything, he barely knew her. 'uh, i'm mason. i'm gonna be, yanno,'[/color he gestured, 'your..tour guide? yeah, yanno, showing you around. and stuff...you're savannah, right?' well, duh, a voice inside his head told me. it wasn't like she was going to be the mother. he glanced over at his parents, and simon murray as they finished talking. mason gave simon a reluctant smile as well. 'well, why don't you two go off and...explore?' mason's dad said finally, with a grin that implied more than just exploring. god, it wasn't like they were going to have a quick fuck in the alleyways, right? but before mason could answer, the three parents had gone inside, and he was left with savannah. 'so, um..where d'you want to go first?'[/blockquote][/blockquote] * sammie <33, savannah <3 TAG * 1329 WORD COUNT * justlikefalling @ caution 2.0! You and I are young… What Makes it wrong for us to fall in love? It was odd having parents that literally lived across the country from each other. Really, her parents couldn’t get more away from each other if they had tried. New York was about as far from California as you could get while still staying in the United States. It wasn’t as if her parents hated each other, they just simply didn’t want to be with each other anymore. While most kids would be pissed at world because of it, and use it as an excuse to act out or claim that love didn’t exist. Savannah never did though. She just took it as it was something that happened and she couldn’t change. She decided to stay in New York with her mother, as that’s where all of her friends were. He father usually flew in and spent thanksgiving and Christmas with them, as even though they were no longer together, he parents were still on amazing terms. Savannah would call her father every couple of nights and they would catch up with each other. She would tell him how things were in New York, and he would rattle about LA and how she should certainly come visit her there sometime. She’d never thought about actually going before. But, after her father bugging her for weeks about it, she had agreed to go spend at least a month of her summer vacation with her father in LA.
She’d only been there for a few days, but she absolutely loved it. She’d spent every morning in the pool, much like she was doing now. She never was a big swimmer, but her bedroom over looked the in ground pool, and it practically begged for her to go for a swim every time she walked out on her balcony. That’s why the first thing she did on this particular morning was change into her swim suit and head straight to the pool. Honestly, she had probably been in there for at least two hours. There was something so relaxing about just floating around in water. Well, it was relaxing until her father stepped out of the sliding glass kitchen door and yelled her name. It was unexpected, and she ended up dunking herself trying to get up right. This only put her father into a fit of laughter, to which she tried her hardest to just glare, but she ended up laughing as well. “What is it.”
she ended up asking, just to make him stop laughing. He told her she needed to get out and get ready, that they had to go to one of his co-workers house for a barbeque and he needed to be over there to help cook. She frowned slightly and said okay, that she needed to get a quick shower and she would be down. Simon laughed and told her they didn’t have time, just to go throw clothes on over her bathing suit, that it was LA and no one really cared. That was the thing she loved about her father. Here he was some big CEO of a company, yet he dressed like a beach bum, and expected his daughter to as well. She gave a sigh as she pulled herself out of the pool and dried herself off. She wasn’t even sure what she was expected to wear. What did one wear to a barbeque at her fathers co-workers house? Really, all she wanted to do is float in the pool all day, or go off exploring LA, though her father bluntly refused to let his little girl do that. After all, she was only fifteen, and he was terrified that she was going to get kidnapped or something. It was as if he forgot that she lived in New York City, NewYork. She roamed the streets there by herself all the time, and not once had anything bad happened to her. Sighing, she pulled open a drawer and pulled a pair of shorts over her now dry swim suit bottoms. Hey, maybe after this whole shindig was over she could talk her dad into driving however far to the beach? It was worth a try anyway. Pulling on the first tank top she found, Savannah ran a brush through her hair and pulled it all over to the left side of her shoulder. She had rather long hair, and sometimes just wanted to chop it all off, but she knew that she would miss it if she did. Putting a small clear plastic ponytail type thing in her hair she let it lay over her shoulder in curls. Grabbing her blue sunglasses, she placed them ontop of her hair before applying just the tiniest bit of mascara. She yelled down at her father that she would be there in a moment as he told her to hurry up, they were going to be late if she took too much longer. Deciding that she would at least wear heels so it looked like she kind of cared, Savannah quickly put them all and dashed towards the stairs, almost falling down them which made her dad go into another fit of laughter before he threw his arm around her and told her that he missed having her around. As they drove over there, Savannah rolled her window down, kicked back and stuck her feet outside the window. She casually asked her dad when he was going to let her go explore LA. That’s when he told her that apparently this kid, whose house they were going to, was going to show her around. Oh boy…a babysitter. That’s just what Savannah wanted. She heaved a little sigh, which made her dad crack a smile. ”Hey, Mason is a boy about your age. Who knows, you might actually have fun.” She gave him a small smile “Doubtful, but I will try just for you. Just don’t expect to be able to pawn me off on him all summer. I doubt I’ll see the kid after today.” and with that her dad just laughed again. As they pulled into the driveway of the Knights house Savannah inspected the house. It was pretty much what Savannah expected it to be. The boy was probably the prissy type, he would be stuck up and think he was better than Savannah. Oh well, she was good at being nice, and she would just have to pretend. As she climbed out and followed her dad, a boy came out side. She looked him over once…well…he didn’t seem like he was the prissy type. And his worn out DC’s really reassured her that maybe he wasn’t what she had already judged him to be. She watches as Mrs. and Mr. Knight came out and greeted her father like they had been friends for ages. Savannah just kind of awkwardly stood there until the boy finally said ‘oh, hi,’ to her before extending a hand. She eyed it for a moment before gently taking it and shaking his hand for barely a second. “Hello there.”. He introduced himself as Mason, before adding that he would be her tour guide, then asking if she was Savannah. She smiled before saying “Yes, that would be me.” She looked to her father, almost wishing that he would call her over there, but then Mr. Knight suggested that the two go off and explore. Great. Now she was obligated to go. She glanced at her father who just gave her an encouraging smile. Well, that settled it. She watched as her father followed the Knights inside, leaving her out side with this boy that she had just met. As the door closed, he asked her where she wanted to go first. She turned her attention to him and sighed. “I really don’t care. Look. I am sure that you are just about as thrilled with this as I am. I wasn’t expecting my father to hire me a babysitter while I was here. I am sure you had big summer plans. So just…lets just go where ever you want to go, and maybe if I tell my father I had a horrid time, we wont have to do this again, and we can both have the summer we planned on?” she said with a slight smile. She certainly didn’t want some strange boy she had just met resenting her because she was forced upon him, nor did she necessarily want to spend her summer with him, not matter how good look he was. She was honestly surprised her father was okay with leaving her with some strange kid, LA had certainly changed the man. [/blockquote] Mason<3//Charzie<333-1440- OUTFIT-Its okay? =]

cause this is the real thing
, love changes everything * ( THIS IS THE NIGHT WHEN EVERY HEART'S EXPLODING! )
to be honest, he hadn't heard too much about this savannah girl he as supposed to be showing around - only that she was a girl around his age who usually lived in new york ( new york, shitting hell, that was a long way away ) - and that she was staying with her father for the summer, and needed someone to hang out with, as she didn't know anyone. and he'd been the nice and obviously distracted good son and offered to show her around. he hadn't quite planned on his holidays being disrupted so soon, but whatever. he couldn't change it now. and she was good looking. that always helped, he should really tell caleb he'd have to cancel their trip to the movies though. so whilst their parents chatted amongst themselves, he pulled out his phone and typed a quite apology to caleb, saying that they should meet up at a later date when he wasn't busy. he felt pretty bad, but he couldn't help it. it looked like most of his day was going to be taken up. he should really stop having such bitter thoughts about it, even if the girl didn't look like she wanted to touch his hand. 'i don't have a contagious disease or something. you can touch my hand. it's safe, i promise, scout's honour.' he said, raising an eyebrow at her. he really hoped she wasn't going to be a stuck up bitch. that would really just put a downer on everything, right? if he had a moody cow trotting after him around los angeles and killing his good vibes. she didn't seem entirely stuck up, he guessed.. she was only wearing shorts and a tank top.. but high heels. seriously? why wear high heels.. okay, maybe it didn't make much sense to him as he was a guy... but still... oh well. he probably shouldn't say anything about it, she might snap at him.
he watched as the girl - he should really stop calling her girl, he knew her name, even if it was a bit of a mouthful - look over at her father as if she was planning on following him into mason's house. he didn't quite want to be the one to tell savannah that she was actually stuck with him and he hadn't just been kidding around, but luckily his father cut in before he could say anything. the glare that she sent her father's way before he disappeared inside with mason's parents didn't exactly make him feel very popular either. jesus christ, it wasn't as if she was doomed to spend the rest of her life with him, seriously. he pushed his hands awkwardly into his jean pockets as the door closed softly behind their parents and they were left alone with each other. he guessed he should probably ask her where she wanted to go.. maybe they could go to the beach. if she was okay with getting sand in her shoes, or whatever.. did people from new york care about that? he wasn't sure. he'd never been to new york. the only time he'd left los angeles was when his family went abroad. they'd been to france a couple of times, and canada once. he really wanted to go to more parts of europe though. or maybe just other parts of america.
he raised an eyebrow again ( damn, he was so proud of himself for perfecting that) as savannah started talking. 'look, um,' he said uncomfortably. he wasn't sure how to explain it to her, but he didn't exactly like the thought of her telling her father she hadn't had a good time with him. for one, his parents would be pissed and probably imagine he'd dragged her around to loo at his favourite skateboard shop, or something,. and two.. well, he just wanted her to have a good time, so she didn't go back and moan to her friends about horrible los angeles was. and maybe he kind of wanted to impress her... he couldn't help it, if he wasn't still slightly bitter about how unenthusiastic she was about hanging with him, he would gladly admit she was gorgeous, and maybe she had a decent personality underneath it all? who knew. 'i mean. yeah, sure, i can tell you're kind of bummed about hanging out with me. i'm not like, a terrible person i hope, so you know, i don't quite think i deserve the glares you've been giving off whenever you think about hanging with me..?'
he shrugged, quickly getting onto his next point before she actually agreed with what he had just said, or whatever. ' but um. i mean.. i don't mind showing you around.. i did offer to do it, after all,' he said, staring nonchalantly around at his drive way. some people had said it was quite big, but mason didn't know. all he did know was that his parents had quite a lot of money, and seeing as he was an only child, they had a lot of money left over. but he still couldn't quite understand why people thought his house was big. it constantly baffled him. but whatever, 'so. um. oh, and also, i'd appreciate it if you didn't, yanno, tell your father about how boring hanging out with me was? it doesn't do much for my self confidence, and my parents will be pissed.... they'll probably think i took you to the skate park or something, cause, um.. girls don't like that, right? i'm not sure. but um. if you can consider the idea of actually having a decent time with me, then maybe we could go to the beach? if.. you want to, yanno. but i'd suggest taking your shoes off? don't you have like, sandals or anything?' he shrugged, 'you like the beach.. yeah?' well, that was a stupid question, who the hell didn't like the beach? it was his favourite place to go, actually, when it wasn't cold. it was pretty cool when it was raining though. not many people bothered to go on the beach in bad weather, so it was kind of peaceful if you could ignore the rain thundering down al over you.. which mason could because he wasn't very good at realizing stuff like that. some people called him slow.. but he wasn't, promise, he was doing pretty decently at school, thank you very much. he looked over at savannah as she ( hopefully ) agreed, well, she was nodding so that was a good sign, before gesturing for her to follow him, and walking over towards a side gate leading out of his drive way. 'it's not really a shot cut to the beach,' he explained as he opened it and let her go through before shutting the gate behind him, 'but it opens out right onto the middle of the beach, instead of having to climb down all the steps. and you don't really need to cross any roads or shit so there's no need for your daddy to worry,' he grinned at her as they walked along the quick route, before they hit the beach. it was fairly big - it stretched out for quite a few miles and the weather was pretty much perfect today; really, the perfect day for going out onto the beach. he unlaced his shoes quickly, pulling both them and his socks off as his feet sunk into the sand. he was hoping savannah was planning on taking her heels off soon... he was trying to think of something witty to say, trying to subconsciously impress her, but he would probably end up saying some stupid joke about vaginas so he kept his mouth shut as he flung his shoes down near his 'short cut'. nobody would steal them, and if they did, well, it was whatever, he needed new shoes anyone. turning back to savannah, he smirked, taking his hat off for a second as he twisted it in his hands. 'so. what do you want to do first? build a sand castle?' he grinned. 'get an ice-cream? dig a hole?' he was pretty much rattling off all the cliché activities all the little kids seemed to do at the beach. he preferred to swim, or surf, or whatever ( but secretly he enjoyed making sandcastles as much as he did ten years ago, and that was never going to change.) he waited for savannah to reply as he plunked his hat back onto his head, shading his eyes from the sun as he watched her. she really was quite pretty. he'd met her father before, and he was a pretty nice bloke as far as mason was concerned, and savannah didn't seem to be horrible, despite what had happened back at the drive way... maybe this summer wouldn't be as terrible as he had envisioned? You and I are young… What Makes it wrong for us to fall in love? Oh well crud. Here she was, just moments into meeting this person and she had already screwed it up. It wasn’t as if she had meant to come off as a stuck up or something, in all honesty she didn’t. It just, well, it seemed like he really was bored with this whole thing, so she figured that she should be too. Made sense, right? After all, he was so disinterested with this whole thing that he had his phone out texting. Probably telling some people that he was too busy babysitting his dad’s buddy’s clueless daughter. She still wasn’t sure why she couldn’t have stayed home. She smiled slight before saying “Right, Sorry.”
before gripping his hand better. Its not that she was really afraid that his hand was dirty or something, she just figured he really didn’t want to shake her hand either, and that maybe he would find it weird if she shook his hand for too long or something. Who knew the required length of handshaking in Los Angeles? In New York, that handshake she had just given would have sufficed. She looked at the Mason guy again, and almost wished that she hadn’t worn shorts. She always felt awkward if she was the only one in something. Like if her entire group of friends were in shorts, and she was in jeans, it just made her awkward. Then again, it was Summer in LA right? She should be wearing shorts right? Really, she thought it was a bit to warm for pants, but if you lived in LA, you were probably use to the weather and expected it right? She was a bit bummed as she watched her father walk inside with the Knights. She certainly hope that her and this boy could find a way to get along, otherwise not only was her day going to be awkward, but more than likely her entire summer. She knew her father wasn’t too keen on having to leave her alone as he worked, so she was certain she would be in this boys company more than either of them would really like. She did feel bad for him. Here he was, probably just got out of his first year of high school like her. He probably had big plans for the summer with his friends, and here was this girl he didn’t even know, standing in his way. Well. She figured if all else he could find a way to brush her off. Sure, it would mean she would be alone in her fathers big house with just the pool boy and the maid that both came twice a week. She wouldn’t mind it too awfully much. After all she could always go out as soon as her father left, explore the city and make sure she was back before he got home from work…It could work right? Eh, probably not, but it was a nice thought though. Hearing him speak again, she turned her attention to him. Hmm, he seemed to raise his eyebrow a lot… Maybe that was the thing to do in LA, raise your eyebrow every time you talked. It sure seemed like an odd habit to Savannah, but really, who was she to judge? Instantly being rude in New York was the way to be. Maybe she should have worded it differently? She didn’t want to come across as a bitch, she really didn’t. But as she repeated her words in her head, she realized that she had actually really sounded like that. Maybe that was what was with the whole eyebrow thing. She bit at the inside of her cheek as he said he didn’t quite think he deserved the glares that she had been giving him. Had she been giving him glares? She certainly hadn’t meant to. But before she could say anything, he continued on saying that he didn’t mind showing her around, that he actually offered to do it. Well…that kind of changed things. She didn’t exactly feel like her father was forcing her on this boy. Sure, he still didn’t exactly seem like he wanted to show her around, but if he had volunteered it was his own fault, right? Right. Well. If they were going to explore, she certainly didn’t need to be carting her purse around. Without really saying a word, she walked over to her fathers car and opened the door, tossing her purse in the passengers seat before shutting and locking it. As she got back, she heard the boy say something about not telling her father about how boring hanging out with him was. Yea, that was a little unfair for her to say. She just sat there and let him talk. She really did feel like shit now. She shouldn’t have been so judgmental at first. After all, he apparently was down for showing her around, and he didn’t even know who she was. After he asked about the beach, she just sat there quietly for a moment. “Okay…I think we got off on the wrong foot.” she said, awkwardly looking down at the ground. “Okay. Lets try this again.” she said looking up at him and smiling a big smile before extending her hand. “Hello sir. My name is Savannah Murray and I believe that you have offered to show me around LA.. After they shook hands she stuck her thumbs in her pockets and looked at him. ‘I am sorry. I thought that my father just kind of pawned me off on you… Thank you for offering to show me around, I do appreciate it. And actually skate parks don’t bug me? I mean, I honestly cant skate to save my life, but I like watching other people skate? she said with a shrug. Looking down at her feet she laughed a little [ “Yes, I have sandals. I didn’t know that our adventure started to day, otherwise I would have worn my converse or flip flops.” she said, reaching down and pulling off her high heels, throwing them towards her fathers car. She nodded at the whole going to the beach thing, and she followed him over to the gate as he explained that it wasn’t really a short cut to the beach. Honestly, she didn’t care. She would just soak up the sights. She couldn’t help but smile as he threw in the while ‘so there is no need for your daddy to worry’. Okay, the kid had a sense of humor, he was funny, she certainly liked that. As they hit the beach, she smiled once more. It was certainly one of the most gorgeous things the girl had ever seen. It stretched out for miles, the sun was shining. She could see little kids building sand castles, or flying kites. The waves were gently crashing and she could see some people surfing off in the distance. It really was a lovely site, and honestly, she would mind just living here rather than New York. She knew that wasn’t likely to happen. She had too many friends in New York, and then there was her mother. Her mother who was pushing her to apply to Julliard, even though Savannah didn’t want to. She shook the thoughts out of her head as Mason finished pulling off his shoes and socks. She did have to admit that the sand felt amazing between her toes. In all honesty, this girl was often barefoot. She didn’t much like wearing shoes when she didn’t have to. In fact, if they were going to be out here on the beach, she was going to work on her tan. As he asked what she wanted to do first, she pulled her tank top off so she was in her bathing suit top and her shorts. There. At least her arms and shoulders would get some good sun. She shrugged at his question. “Oh I don’t know?” she said as she walked with him over to the edge of the water. She didn’t want to choose something that the boy didn’t want to do. It just wouldn’t be fair would it? kicking her feet around in the water, she just kind of let silence loom over him before she just suddenly reached down and splashed him with some ocean water. Well, it would stop the silence, he might be pissed but….she’d find a way to smooth it over? [/blockquote] Mason<3//Charzie<333-1411- OUTFIT-Eh, I dont know XD

mason wasn't sure quite what to think, honestly. was savannah actually such a.. well, h didn't know how to describe her. a bitch? a snob? he didn't know. or was she just nervous? he wasn't sure why; after all, he just didn't feel nervous. it was an emotion that he pretty much never felt. he was never nervous, and that may have something to do with the fact that he just didn't think much before doing things, or the fact that he just wasn't scared of much,. secretly, he hoped it was the latter, but knew it was definitely the former. of course, whatever reason, the fact remained that he never felt nervous, and so didn't understand why some people were when they first encountered strangers. huh, well, whatever. maybe savannah was just one of those people. caleb was kind of like that, mason reckoned, only he was much nicer. of course, savannah did look pretty abashed by her actions as she did grip his hand tighter. he supposed she didn't really think he had cooties, or something like that, or a deadly disease that you could only get through shaking hands with one of the victims. maybe they just did things differently back in new york. he kind of felt awkward - really, he should have probably have worn shorts, but i was whatever, you know? it could get far warmer in los angeles then it was at the moment. maybe he'd dress more appropriately next time he showed savannah around.. if there was a next time. he was pretty sure she wouldn't want to tag along with him; it really didn't look like she had chosen to be here, by anyone's standards.
