'CAUSE A COSTUME CAN BE QUITE COMFORTABLEIT CAN MAKE YOU FEEL MORE BEAUTIFUL, IT CAN even make you look like someone else, but it's still you, so there's nothing you can do, like a bad habit, the one you couldn't kick In the morning when Josh first opened his eyes, he felt off. Maybe the sun pouring through his blinds was just a little too bright, or the covers were pulled up just a little too far, but either way, he felt agitated. It wasn’t unusual for little things to bother Josh like this, however, so he let out a loud grumble and got out of bed, his countenance starting to cloud over with unhappiness. He gritted his teeth as he made his way to the kitchen, grabbing a bottle of pills of the counter. He was, under no circumstances, to ever skip a dosage of these. But today he was already pissed off, and getting even more angry that he had to take fucking medicine to be remotely normal. So he forcefully put back down the bottle and picked a pack of cigarettes up off of the counter instead. As soon as he took a long drag and felt the nicotine hit his brain, he calmed down substantially and took a deep breath. See? He was fine now. He didn’t need his medicine, he was a completely normal person who didn’t need to be psycho-analyzed on a weekly basis.
Puffing on the cigarette, he stepped around the counter into the kitchen, grabbing a Hot Pocket of some sort out of the freezer and placing it nonchalantly in the microwave. He leaned his weight against the counter and distracted himself with watching the table in the microwave turn round and round. His eyes went out of focus, and his mind started to wander as he watched the Hot Pocket spin. Suddenly, he snapped out of it and had an urge to go have..fun. He ran back to his room, putting out his cigarette and abandoning the microwave that was now beeping. He snagged a towel out of his laundry pile before while speeding towards the bathroom for a shower. He jumped in without checking the temperature, and jumped a little at the sudden cold water. It warmed up quickly though, and he felt the cold melt off of his shoulders as he let the water warm his scalp and body. He cleaned himself hurriedly, shampooing his messy brown hair and scrubbing off all of the grime that had accumulated on his body at last night’s show. He grabbed the shower knobs and turned off the water, wrapping his towel around himself as he stepped into the cold air outside of the shower.
With the towel wrapped around his head and another around his waist, he strolled across the hall back into his room, scrounging around for clean boxers and jeans. He found them, and slipped them on, taking the towel from around his middle and using it to towel dry his hair. Josh was blessed with hair that naturally air dried perfectly, so he didn’t give any more worry to his hair as he pulled on a plaid shirt. It suddenly hit him that even though he had a great urge to have fun today, he had no one to have fun with. So he pulled his white iPhone out of his pocket and hurriedly sent a text to the first person he thought of, Kylie. How’s my favorite bandmate? I’m bored, meet me at the park at our spot in fifteen, k?<3 Kylie always knew how to have fun, so Josh knew that spending the day with her would guarantee a good time. Satisfied, he slipped his cell into the pocket of his jeans and grabbed his messenger bag off of the desk, also putting in a pack of cigarettes, the song lyric notebook he didn’t go anywhere without, and his wallet.
As he left his apartment, he snagged his car keys off of the entry table and took the elevator down to the parking garage, where he smiled fondly at his Infiniti G35 sitting in his reserved parking space. Saying that Josh loved his car would be a definite understatement. It was his goal from age fifteen to own this car, and he had achieved it way before he ever thought he would. He slipped into the buttery leather of the drivers seat, turning the key into the ignition and backing up smoothly. He’d had the car for almost a year, and it still never failed to amaze him every time he drove it. He navigated easily out of the parking lot, taking a right towards the park where he was to meet Kylie. She would know which park he was talking about, it had become kind of a ritual of theirs, meet there to catch up when the rockstar life got too crazy. Sure, they were in the same band, but rehearsals and shows rarely gave them time to really talk. So the two of them, being best friends, made sure to always put aside time for each other.
As Josh reached the park, he turned off the car a little whiles down the block, knowing that he wouldn’t be able to find a spot any closer. He didn’t mind the walk, anyways. It was a mild day, and he smiled a little as the wind ruffled his hair. As he pocketed the car keys and took the short stroll into the park, however, he started to feel a little unstable. He felt nervous all of a sudden, but calmed back down, the nervous feeling only lingering a few moments longer. He shook his head, trying to clear any negativity from his brain, focusing on the blue sky around him. Soon enough, he reached the rock that him and Kylie had claimed as their own almost two years ago, smiling fondly at the memories. He traced his finger over where he had scratched “Kylie is awesome” into the rock with a Swiss Army Knife on her birthday last year. He carefully sat down, exhaling and closing his eyes, soaking in the sun as he waited for his favorite person to arrive and perk up his day.

my friends are a different breed my friends are everything ----------------------------------------------
sleep sucked. that was what kylie thought. sure, sleeping was very relaxing and whatnot, but kylie hated it. she had those days, or rather nights, where she could not sleep. last night had been one of those days. she had stared up at her ceiling for god knows how long, and had finally gotten to bed at about two or three in the morning, only to end up waking up at six thirty that morning. pretty soon she was sure she was going to have to go get some insomia medicine or something. who knew. either way, kylie was sure she was going to be quite the freak that day. whenever she got less sleep than needed, she was, simply put, very loopy. sure, she was often loopy as it was; her adhd certainly kept her on her feet all day. this was all just an added extra, she was sure. either way, she was screwed that day.
she'd spent the morning, really, sitting around watching television and eating cereal. she was an early bird, unlike the guys. she knew for certain jackson loved sleeping in when they didn't need to be up. khris did too. dom, she was sure he did, and josh... she wondered. she often bothered him at random times, and it was never the same. either he was awake or asleep.... hm... she wondered which he was that day. she debated on texting him or not to see if he was awake, but she decided to give it a few hours. she doubted anyone would be up this early. so, with a defeated sigh, she had decided to go back to watching those little kiddy shows that were on in the early morning as she ate her lucky charms.
a few hours later, though, she really could not take it. she was lying on her back on the couch, asleep. her bowl of cereal was forgotten on the table. sure, she didn't have a blanket to keep her warm, but she was warm as is already. and, she didn't feel like having to get up to get a blanket. her sleep was short lived, however, when all of a sudden she heard her phone go off. hearing the beginning to the song 'real thing' by boys like girls from somewhere underneath her head, she opened her eyes suddenly, staring at the ceiling. she really should put her phone on silent. turning over, she pulled her phone out from under the cushion she was using as a pillow and looked at it. it was a text. from josh! well. that boy sure knew the right moments to text. ... well that thought would have worked nearly three hours ago, but whatever. seeing that he wanted to meet at the park in fifteen, she smiled as she quickly texted him back. "i'll get dressed and see you there lovely<3" throwing her phone onto the couch beside her, she jumped up to get changed out of her pajamas.
well, first. she washed her dishes. she was an absolute neat freak whenever it came to her apartment, mostly because it was difficult to keep it clean all the time since she was often out late for shows, or out most of the day to record. so she had the habit of keeping it clean whenever possible. it was going pretty well so far. her apartment still looked as though no one really lived in it. anyways, after kylie washed her dishes, she grabbed a change of clothes and headed for the bathroom. multitasking was the girl's thing; she managed to change out of her pajamas, throw on a pair of skinny jeans and a boys like girls shirt, all while brushing her teeth and not getting one bit of toothpaste on her clothe. that took skill. at least she liked to think so. anyways. she quickly brushed her teeth before combing her hair. when she deemed herself at least decent looking to leave the house, she grabbed her jacket, her phone, and her keys, throwing them all into the pockets of her jacket. as she shoved her feet in her shoes, she heard her phone go off again. damn she really needed to turn that on silent.
seeing it was a text from brae asking if she wanted to hang out, kylie texted her back, closing the door behind her. kylie was sure it locked as she heard the familiar click of it. telling brae she was meeting up with josh, she apologized and promised to hang out with her soon. hopping down the stairs towards the sidewalk, she decided she needed to be quick. she already was five minutes behind, so she needed to hurry. thankfully, her apartment wasn't too far from the park so, the fact that she didn't drive, did not matter. all she had to do was walk quickly.
the park was closing in as kylie walked down the sidewalk, dodging between the people that were already awake and moving about los angeles. that was the one thing she really liked about los angeles. there were a ton of people. sure, a lot of people might not have liked that, but kylie did. she was just a people person. after she waved to a few of the old couples that walked past her, she ran across the street as there was the smallest break in traffic. slowing down slightly, she caught her breath as she entered the park. it took her a minute to look around the park and realize where josh would be.
the park was their place. when they had been one of those unknown bands, they had alway young out at the park. they might as well have owned the park. they knew it that well enough anyways. it took kylie a minute though, to realize where josh would have wanted to meet her. skipping along for a bit, she walked slowly up the park towards the rock. it was the rock they'd dubbed their own almost two years ago. last year, he'd even carved her name into the rock. well, the whole phrase had been 'kylie is awesome', which she in no way would deny, harhar. she spotted josh before she spotted the rock. smiling slightly, she ran over before deciding to slide down onto her knees towards him. it actually worked too! she was sure her knees were going to be somewhat bruised, but who cared? settling down next to him, she wrapped an arm around him the best she could. "morning, sunshine!" she said in a singsong voice, leaning against him. she really had too much energy in the morning to be natural. like now. compared to normal people, she could easily wake up and be hyper as anything without having anything in her system that morning. she was sort of blessed like that. "how are you, my darling?" she said in that singsong voice, but even she was getting annoyed with it herself. "bleh. no more sing-song-ing. it sounds creepy as anything." she said in her normal voice, settling down next to him. sure, leaning against a rock wasn't exactly settling down, but to kylie it was rather comfortable.

'CAUSE A COSTUME CAN BE QUITE COMFORTABLEIT CAN MAKE YOU FEEL MORE BEAUTIFUL, IT CAN even make you look like someone else, but it's still you, so there's nothing you can do, like a bad habit, the one you couldn't kick Josh had only been sitting on the rock for a few moments when his phone buzzed with a reply from Kylie. He pulled it out to type a response, but decided that it didn’t really need one, so instead he plugged headphones into his iPhone and finger-tapped The Decemberists. Josh was wonderfully good at tuning out the rest of the world when he needed to, so he slumped down against the rock, closing his eyes and starting to hum along to the somewhat calming beats of his favorite band. Besides his own, of course. The thought that he should have brought his guitar dawned on him, and he grumbled out loud. He could be stupid sometimes. He almost considered jogging back to his car to swing home really quickly to get his favorite acoustic, but then there was always the change that Kylie would happen to arrive while he was gone, and that would cause all this unwanted confusion and stress. So he decided he would bring it the next time the two of them hung out, and returned to his little happy place inside his head, with the beats and words from the music taking control of his brain.
He had almost, but not quite, drifted off into a sun-warmed sleep when a sharp pain from his chest sent him out of his blurred reality. He sat straight up, clutching his chest. His iPhone went flying across the lawn, but he didn’t even pay attention. This hadn’t happened to him in a while. Sure, the doctor had explained it all to him in words he didn’t particularly understand, but these pains hadn’t plagued him in almost a year. They were due to the trauma he suffered in his chest when he...tried to kill himself. The thought of it sent his head spinning. He had been in such a fit of rage and self-loathing at that time, that he hadn’t considered putting the gun to his head. He had put it up against his heart, but he was off. He missed. So instead of ending his life, he landed himself in the ICU, racking up thousands of dollars of medical bills. While he ended up pretty much okay, the pains in his chest would be unavoidable for the rest of his life. However, he had thought that they disappeared, seeing as he hadn’t had one for a long time.
His chest still throbbing, he slowly walked across the lawn to pick up his phone, before dropping himself back onto the rock. All of a sudden he was exhausted. He considered calling Kylie and telling her he needed to go home, that they could hang out another day, but he knew if anyone was to cheer him up, it’d be her. And anyways, she was probably already on the way, and that would just be rude of him to make her leave. Sure enough, as he raised his eyes he saw his small, bouncy Kylie coming towards him across the park. He couldn’t help but laugh as she pulled a rockstar stunt and slid towards him, smiling as she bumped lightly against his knee. The pain in his chest was fading now, his mind being taken off of it and onto his band mate, who was wrapping an arm around him. Josh leaned down and kissed the top of her head affectionately, hoisting her easily up onto the rock next to him. He felt his bad mood melt away in her presence, to his relief, and his smile came less forced as he listened to her light little voice.
“I’m not exactly very sunshiny this morning, my love.” He said softly, a laugh tinting his voice. With her weight softly against his shoulder, he could almost feel the energy from her coursing into him, and he felt the energy in his veins coursing higher and higher. Really, it was dangerous for Josh to ever get too excited, with his Manic episodes, and especially now that he hadn’t taken his medicine, but he didn’t care, because at this very moment, he felt good. He didn’t need the damn medicine, or therapy, or frequent phone calls from his relatives asking if he was doing okay. He was doing fine. He wasn’t a fucking invalid. He could feel his sudden good mood escalating quickly downwards as he thought about his decreasingly normal life. And no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t keep the frustration out of his voice as he answered Kylie’s question. “I’m fine. Why wouldn’t I be fine?” As soon as the words tumbled out of his mouth, he bit his lip, feeling bad for taking his anger out on her. He visibly shook his head without even meaning to, and scooted a little closer to her, resting his head on her shoulder and offering a silent apology.
“Don’t worry about it, Ky. You know I like when you’re creepy.” He offered her a playful wink, trying to make up for his sourpuss demeanor a few moments ago. He suddenly jumped back a little, slapping his hands down excitedly. “Ky, will you sing for me? Damn. I was gonna bring my guitar, but I didn’t, cause I’m dumb, and we could have like a jam session here like we used to! Remember? The hobos would always listen to us, it was so creepy...” He trailed off a little, getting tongue tied with memories and good times. He knew he was rambling and over-speaking to try to get his mind off of other things. It was a bad habit of his. But he really did wish that he had brought his guitar, and his favorite thing was listening to Kylie sing. It always calmed him down. That was the main reason he had joined While You Were Out. When he first auditioned for them, the quality and purity of her voice had captivated him, and he knew he would be perfectly happy if he could just always listen to her sing.
He started to wrap up his headphones without even waiting for her reply, starting to sing quietly to the song he had been listening to, kind of forgetting that Kylie was sitting right there. “I am a writer, writer of fictions, I am the heart that you call home.”Josh loved to sing, it was like his escape, but he was far too self-conscious to ever do it in front of people. Especially people like Kylie, who was so much better a singer than he could ever even hope to be. So as soon as he started singing, he stopped, biting his lip a little and glancing sideways at Kylie, hoping that she hadn’t heard.

my friends are a different breed my friends are everything ----------------------------------------------
she felt her knees bump into his as she did her rockstar slide. that was almost perfect, except now her knees her. "i shouldn't do that on stage... but i want to try it now..." letting out a little meow of pain, she wrapped her arm arond him, but her meow quickly turned into a giggle as she felt him kiss the top of her head. they were always like this, and there was no denying she loved it. kylie was a rather affectionate girl, it worked out. laughing as he hoisted her up onto the rock, she looked around. "oh hey, i'm... oh this isn't fun i'm still the same height." she said in a mock hurt voice, as though her dreams had been crushed of being taller. but she really didn't care. she was used to being short compared to the guys. compared to most everyone really. except that effie chick. she was shorter than her. kylie felt bad but she personally liked the fact that effie was short. it made her feel a bit better. "awwe. you should listen to walkin' on sunshine then! it makes anyone feel sunshiny!"
it really did. she listened to that song on those mornings where she didn't feel like her normal self whatsoever. or, actually, she just listened to it all the time. she was just like that. swinging her feet slightly from her position, she looked down at him, waiting to see if he would answer her question. what she hadnt' expected was the tone of his voice as he answered, biting her lip, she looked down at her feet, which were still swinging idly underneath her. she never really liked it whenever he got into those moods. sure, they didn't happen that often whenever they hung out together, but when they did it just made everything awkward, because kylie never really knew what to say. but soon she felt his head on her shoulder, and she couldn't help but laugh. "i think i should keep you as a pet instead of a puppy. you're being much cuter." she said teasingly, returning what he'd done earlier and kissing the top of his head.
"well then! i'll be a creeper more often." she said, grinnig. but she felt it falter slightly as he jumped back a bit. staring at him questioning, she tilted her head, her hair coming into her face as she listened to him. she felt a small laugh escape her lips as he asked her to sing. "we should do that! we haven't done that in a long time." she said, thinking back to how before the band had really gotten big, they had spent their free time in the park, playing random stuff. they'd once gotten the attention of three hobos that lived in the park, and though it had been creepy, it had been fun just singing to the hobos. hobos can dance. that's one thing kylie had discovered. she wondered randomly if the one hobo she had danced with was still in the area... shaking her head, she turned him to him as she heard him mumble something. she smiled as she listened in. she had caught him singing a few times, and whenever he had started this,s he would pretend to be staring off somewhere else to see if he'd notice she was listening. sometimes it had worked. other times, not so well. this time she didn't even bother pretending she was looking away. she just watched him until he stopped and glanced at her. smiling, she wrapped both her arms around his neck, resting her head on his shoulder. "joshhh! you need to sing more often. because, you mister, are really good. and you need to." she didn't understand why he didn't sing more often. he was just as good as jackson was, yet josh never sang as often.
glancing up randomly, she smiled as she saw a little puppy walking around. kylie was a sucker for animals, there was no denying it. she always got excited with animals. so, it was natural she'd get excited when this little puppy decided to wander her way. jumping down from her spot on the rock, she sat down right beside josh as the little puppy came over. "awwe, isn't he cute?!" she said in her little dotting voice. picking up the little puppy, she scratched him behind the ears, she was such a little kid at times, but she knew it wasn't too bad. leaning against the rock, she wrestled with the little puppy for a few minutes before it had decided to run off. she watched it running off towards a woman, probably its owner, covering her mouth with her hand, she yawned. bleh. she needed more sleep. she probably should take a nap a bit later on.
leaning against josh, she stared off ahead of her. "okay, so. we're definitely having our jam session like... soon? right mister?" now she was excited for this. she had been in love with their jam sessions since they had first started doing them near three years ago. "would you hate me if i said we should just head to your place and grab your guitar and then come back to play for hobos?" she looked up at him, pouting her lip. "because, you know, that's fun. and, we should totally do it?" nudging him with her elbow slightly, she laughed, sitting up slightly. she had way too much energy to be natural at times. and here was the girl who was just yawning and thinking about how later she needed to take a nap.

'CAUSE A COSTUME CAN BE QUITE COMFORTABLEIT CAN MAKE YOU FEEL MORE BEAUTIFUL, IT CAN even make you look like someone else, but it's still you, so there's nothing you can do, like a bad habit, the one you couldn't kick Josh couldn’t help but laugh at his bubbly best friend’s little meow, and poked her playfully in the side. “Pleaaasee do that on stage. I’ll give you a dollar if you do!” Kylie always managed to make Josh feel needed and cared about. He honestly didn’t know what he would do without her. Sometimes he wished he could just sit back and bathe in the warmth that radiated off of her, it was infectious and pleasing. He chuckled a little, his temporary bad mood melting off like ice under the sun. He stretched his upper body up, his bad posture disappearing and making him appear a few inches taller, knowing it irritated Kylie. Well, nothing really irritated Kylie, but it mock-irritated her, and that was what he was going for. Josh was already pretty tall, but compared to Kylie he was practically a giant. He chuckled at her suggestion. "Nah, I'm more of a Beatles kinda guy. How 'bout Here Comes The Sun?"
He knocked his insecurities about singing out of his head and sang softly to Kylie. "Here comes the sun, do do do do, here comes the sun, and I say, it's all right." Josh loved doing little things like this just to make Kylie smile. It always made him feel better, knowing he had the ability to make someone happy. Josh laughed at her puppy comment, brushing his hair out of his light blue eyes. In a way, he already felt a little bit like her puppy. Not in a bad way, though. At events and photo shoots and whatnot, she clung to him like a little girl would to her beloved puppy. It gave Josh that feeling, once again, that he was loved and cared for, so no, he didn't mind it one bit. He barked playfully, playing into the puppy act, and after she kissed his head, he put his face close to hers and licked her cheek. With anyone else, it would have been weird, but not with Kylie. He didn't think it was the first time he had licked her, and it probably wouldn't be the last. He winked at her, trying to make up for his harsh words earlier. "Your face tastes good, Ky." He smiled at the thought of their hobo days. He had never seen Kylie so happy as she was then, when she sang and danced around with people in the park as he sat on their rock, playing his guitar and laughing. That was Kylie's element, being in front of people, putting smiles on their faces. He was different. He still liked to make people happy, but he did it in a more subdued way, trying to stay out of the spotlight. It wasn't really his place. Some people were stars, some weren't. Kylie was a star. She was one of the brightest Josh had ever seen. He sighed as he felt her head on his shoulder. Kylie was always begging him to sing, or at least record a vocal track, or sing one song at a show. But it wasn't Josh's comfort zone. People were quicker to judge someone's singing voice than their guitar playing, and Josh wasn't exactly jumping to be judged by a bunch of people he didn't know. Josh was terribly insecure around people he didn't know. It wasn't a very good thing, with him being in a band and all. He fought his hardest to keep the frustration out his voice, but failed. "Kylie. No. You know how I feel about that." God, how he hated telling her no. It almost broke his heart. He turned his head away from her, guilt already sweeping through his body. Fortunately, Kylie took her mind off singing when a little puppy came over, and Josh took it as a chance to once again make up for the attitude he was giving her. He wouldn't feel that bad if it was anyone else, but Kylie had been nothing but wonderful to him, so he owed her. He reached down to where she was holding the puppy against his leg and pet it softly, preferring to just watch Kylie play with it. Once the puppy wandered off, he allowed himself to make eye contact with her, his guilt disappearing. "Yeah, it's pretty cute, but I make a better pet, right?" He smiled softly, wanting to have a good time with Kylie but not...feeling it anymore. His small, fake smile turned up into a real one when Kylie suggested going back to get his guitar. That involved driving. And if there was anything Josh loved in life, it was to drive. He didn't even bother answering her, he just jumped up, grabbed her hand, and started to jog across the park, pulling his little best friend along behind him. He didn't stop running till they reached the where he parked his Infiniti down the block, and he swiftly opened the passenger side for her, before getting in on the other side, giving her a brief smile and exclaiming, "Jesus, I love you." , slightly out of breath. He smoothly backed the car out of where he had parallel parked it, shooting off towards his apartment. Soon enough, he parked outside, opened the door for Kylie, and used his key to let them both into the elevator. "Just a warning, it's a little messy, but hey, I'm a guy." He winked and set foot into the hall as the elevator reached his floor, glancing back to make sure Kylie was following him. He opened the door to his apartment and jogged into his bedroom, slipping his guitar into it's case and meeting Kylie back by the doorway, realizing that he was probably giving her whiplash. my friends are a different breed my friends are everything ----------------------------------------------
"i'd better get that dollar, then." she said, throwing a mock glare in his direction. sure, it was a dollar but it was money. and besides, that knee slide was fun to do. so what if she bruised her knee? it didn't matter much. she looked down at him, though it was only for a few seconds. as he straightened up, his head easily passed hers, and now she was required to look up. she stuck her tongue out at him as he said he was more of a Beatles kind of guy, and she nodded her head in approval. they often agreed on bands and songs and such. it just made her realize how similar they were. that made it so much easier to be in a band together. as he sang, she laughed, reaching up and wrapping har arms around his neck in a hug. "kay. so. i declare. you are so recording me a lullaby. i might actually fall asleep from hearing you sing. that's a good thing." josh knew as well as she did how she often stayed up most nights from her ADHD and her hyperness. but whenever he sang, even if it was for a short time like that one was, it made her feel relaxed. it was quite rare for something other than her medicine to cause her to relax, but his singing sure did it.
laughing as he barked at her calling him her puppy, she felt his tongue on her cheek. she was used to this. they often did silly things like this. a lot of people had always assumed they were dating, but that was just not the case. they were just absolutely close friends. kylie, sure, never really cared about how she acted with her friends, and josh was no exception. but she could definitely be more hyper around him without worrying about freaking him out or whatever. she knew her being hyper was kind of hard to handle. "well, thank you. it was lavender cream, so." she said simply, shrugging, but he had a grin on her face. but it quickly faded, at least slightly, as he told her no about singing on stage. she could hear the bit of frustration at her saying that. she knew that he hated that, but she wanted him to try. she sometimes forgot how shy he was, and definitely was not like her, especially with the singing in front of people thing. she really needed to think. turning her head at the same moment he looked away, she caught sight of the little puppy that had decided to come over to them.
she already felt herself smiling as josh petted the puppy, who was wiggling around, trying to get away. with regret she let it go to its owner, but she felt it melt as she looked back at josh and heard his question, smiling, she nodded her head, leaning against him so her head on his shoulder. "yep. and plus, you're already potty trained. it'd be so much easier for you to live with me." she said jokingly. she would have honestly loved it if josh had lived with her. kylie hated not having a roommate. sure, it was so much more freedom ( and seeing as kylie was not the neatest person out there, freedom definitely was not bad ), but she hated being lonely ont he nights when she had nothing to do and no where to go. "i still think you should just sell your place and live with me." she said in a baby voice, clinging to his arm like she normally would have. kylie was a clinger to her close friends. during most photoshoots, she was either clung to jackson or josh, or on khristopher's back. dom, she didn't do any of that with as much. though the piggy backs were definitely required by all the guys. but she clung to josh the most, why she had no idea. probably because he was just so innocent, and it never meant a thing but, at the same time, it meant a lot.
she didn't have much time clinging; she glanced up as he jumped up, and allowed him to grab her hand. she pushed herself off the ground, running behind him as he kept a hold on her hand. taking a deep breath as they approached his car, she slide into the front seat, finally breathing a regular breath. jeez she needed to work out. running clearly was not her forte. hearing him saying i love you in that breathless voice, she smiled, laughing slightly. "i know." she said as he backed out of the driveway. "and i love you too, crazy. even if you did just cause me to use up my lungs." she said dryly, still breathing heavily. "i so need to start working out again." she said as she relaxed against the back of the seat. she knew she wouldn't have much time till they arrived at his place, but hey, it was some time to get her breath back. sure enough, she soon felt them stop, and she realized she hadn't even buckled in her seatbelt. oh well. she hadn't died that time, so. she was safe. she didn't even have to open the door. gosh, josh was just too much of a gentleman at times. it was too cute. "you would make the perfect boyfriend for someone, you know. one of the few guys in the world that actually open doors for girls." she said, nudging him as she walked up towards the elevator with him.
"hey, my apartment's probably just as bad. i'm a girl. not all of us are neat freaks." she said teasingly as they got out of the elevator and onto his floor. "but seriously, you should just move in with me. you would be at home if you did." he really would be. they were so similar when it came to living styles. kylie remembered when her parents had come to visit and they had wondered if kylie had a guy roommate, and that was why her place was such a mess. kylie's room had often been decent looking, only because she would not have been allowed to leave her house if her room was not clean. and at that time, she had needed to leave her house. but once she'd gotten her own apartment, she had just let loose. realizing he'd opened the door to his apartment, she walked in, glancing around. definitely not as bad as her place. "yeah, you are so moving in with me, mister!" she half shouted at him as he ran towards him room. shifting her weight from one foot to the other, she started counting mentally in her head, only getting to twenty two as he came back with his guitar case. sighing, she nodded. "yes. but no more running, okay? i'll never get that breath back."
