Liberty stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around herself. She wrung her hair out, letting the loose water fall onto the bathroom floor without really worrying about it. She walked to her room and put on a pair of shorts and a tank top. She really didn't have to worry about getting ready because she had a shoot today. They would do her hair, her make-up, dress her, the whole nine yards. It was nice. She didn't have to wake up extra early to get ready or anything. It was one of the perks of being a model. Everyone did everything for her. It probably only added on to her bitchyness though because she was so spoiled. Not like it mattered to her. She could care less if she was bitchy. She was only bitchy when people got on her bad side. However, a lot of people seemed to do that lately. It wasn't her fault they rubbed her the wrong way. Everyone should know how she was by now and if they didn't want her to be mean, then they shouldn't say and do stupid things that got on her nerves. It was that simple. To her it was anyway. She had been told a couple times by her close friends and family that maybe she needed to learn to hold her tongue but she mainly just blew them off. The only person she really tried for was Noah. He would tell her to be nice and she would try at least.
After she towel dried her hair, she threw her towels into the dirty laundry pile and went to her kitchen. Opening the fridge, the only thing she pulled out was a bottle of water. Her fridge didn't really contain much other than water and some juice. There was a loaf of bread and some jelly in it too but that was really it. Lib didn't eat. Not exaggerating either. She hated food. She hated the taste, the texture, the feeling of it in her stomach. She really didn't like eating and she did it as less as she possibly could. She ate maybe once a week and it was usually when someone who knew how she was, like her mom or her best friend, came over and basically forced food down her throat. Other than that, there really wasn't much eating in her life. She rarely kept much food in her house because it only all went bad. She was the only one living in her apartment anyway. If she had a roommate, she wouldn't be pitching in for the groceries that was for sure. She saved a lot of money too on not paying for food. It was a win win situation to her, honestly. No one else saw it that way, but hey, once again, she did not care what other people thought.
Thinking about it now as she exited her apartment, when was the last time she had eaten? Usually she ate about once, maybe twice a week, but the past couple of weeks had been very hectic. Noah had gone MIA and hadn't answered her calls, her texts or her IMs. Lib had even gone over to his apartment to make sure he was okay. She had knocked on the door and Winter had answered. Before Lib could even get a word into Noah's best friend, Winter had closed the door and the sound of it being locked could be heard. Liberty had stood there for a minute, dumb founded. She had never really gotten along with Winter, but Winter had never not let her talk to or see Noah before. It frustrated her and she had stormed off home, being her normal bitch self all along the way. So, from her frustration, Lib hadn't eaten that day either. She honestly couldn't remember the last time she had more than a piece of toast with jam on it. But, it didn't really matter to her. She was sure someone would make their way to her apartment sooner or later and force a meal down her stomach. It was long overdue so she knew it was coming sooner rather than later.
Arriving at the shoot, she was sat down in a chair and a few people went to work on her make up and hair. After that was done she was dressed and sent to the photographer. She didn't recognize this one but he seemed to be a bit shakey. He had probably heard about how she could be. She raised an eyebrow at him and waited for some instruction. She had to know how he wanted to go about the shoot and then she would be able to take it from there. As soon as he told her, her model instincts stepped into action. She posed and a shot was snapped, she posed again and other one was taken. The blinding lights on her were making her extra hot for some reason and the flash that went off occasionaly made different color spots appear before her eyes. She tried to shake it off, but she was confused as this had never really happened before. She held up a finger for one moment and placed her other hand over her forehead to give her eyes a break from the light. She must have not looked so good because she vaguely heard the photographer if she was alright. She couldn't even find the words to answer him and her body swayed slightly. She could feel someone's hand on her arm and whoever's touch it was was freezing. She moved her hand from her eyes to look, but all she saw was the bright lights. Her body was too weak for the heat of the lights and the shoot in general because she hadn't eaten in so long. She didn't realize that though and the next thing she knew, she was falling to the ground and everything was black. I took my bruises, Took my lumps Fell down and I got right back up. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Noah really did feel bad. He did! He felt guilty if he was completely honest. The last few weeks had been packed with drama on all levels, some of which didn't even involve him and yet he still felt part of it. He had felt disconnected from everything, his music and his friends. His family weren't really part of things any more, at least considering they didn't want much to do with him. His mother's behaviour was testament to that anyway. Unfortunately, she also wore the pants in the relationship with his father so conversation was kind of limited in that area too. His sister was okay, they would still phone one another and talk for a few hours every other week. They had a lot in common luckily and she kept Noah updated on things. Family things. Anyway, Noah felt bad because his girlfriend Libby had been kept completely out of the loop. Girlfriend? Was that right? His pride was too big for him to ever really outspokenly call her such and the guys would never let him live it down. Truthfully, Noah didn't know she'd take it so seriously enough for it to develop into a relationship. But apparently, according to everyone else and Liberty herself, it had. It wasn't such a bad thing though, Noah could see that Libby was a really beautiful woman and despite what everyone thought, she could actually be really nice too. People were just easy to be hypocrites and call her bitchy behind her back, which ultimately was the same as what they were doing. The way he was feeling was probably what was propelling his actions right this second. Rocking on his feet a little, Noah watched the store clerk wrap up the roses and tie a red bow around them. Apparently women liked these things? Hell if he knew.
Handing over the money, Noah lifted the flowers and looked at them. Perhaps he could surprise her. He knew Libby was at a shoot for a while today and initially he had gotten up early to go pick up his new blackberry after losing his other one to... well, after giving it to a fan. It would be wrong to say that Noah didn't wish he'd gotten on the plane to Brazil. He would go now but something was holding him back... perhaps it had been the admissions that Kenzie had given him. Who knew? Flicking his hair in a very Noah habit, he gave his infamous smirk to the clerk and walked out of the shop flowers in hand. He hoped she liked these. How was he supposed to know what her favourite flowers were? Shrugging, Noah pushed his sunglasses back on and ambled over to his Audi and unlocked it. He'd go to her shoot and then take her for a meal. That should ease his guilty conscience a bit. Again, Noah could make sure she was eating then. He was still a bright kid but then it didn't take a genius to notice how Libby didn't touch food at the parties or places they went. On the contrary, like a true teenage boy, Noah ate like a horse and yet was still stick thin. The wonders of having a fast metabolism. Sticking his car in reverse, Noah was about to set off when his new phone rang. Frowning and putting his Audi back into neutral, Noah accepted the call with a tilt of his head at the unknown number. This better not be a prank of Garrets and he'd given Noah's number out. Noah had already used that one and it'd be highly unoriginal. "Ahoy ahoy." He wouldn't give out his identity right away. "Noah Charlton? Do you know a Liberty Hart?" Pulling his phone from his ear, he frowned and nodded as he spoke from habit "That I do." He listened silently as the voice over the phone told him that she'd collapsed at her shoot and in the hospital. "Oh. Right. Okay. I'll... be right there." His voice was slightly cracked, his thoughts numb.
Throwing his car into reverse, Noah pulled out his car straight away and sped down the road, uncaring of the fact he'd cut someone off and they blared their horn at him. They'd be over it in a few minutes. Scanning the street signs for the hospital, Noah swore and darted across about four lanes of traffic to pull right into the car park of the hospital. It took him about 10 more minutes to find a space before legging it from his car inside and to the reception to ask for where Libby was, the flowers still clutched to his hand like a life support. It probably was. Standing numbly in the waiting room, Noah stopped impatiently. What if she was hurt? What if she had hurt herself when she'd fallen? ... Why was Noah so worried about her? God, maybe he did like her more then he thought. Rubbing his head, Noah slowly sank into the uncomfortable plastic chair, his eyes looking into bundle of roses. This was under a different circumstance now. Licking his lips, Noah glanced up when a nurse popped in to tell him he could go in. Standing and walking pretty briskly after the nurse to the private room door, Noah paused and took a breath. He really didn't know what he was expecting. Pushing open the door, the flowers were clutched to his chest acting perhaps as a defensive barrier. "Libby! Hey, lovely." Noah sent her the most genuine soft smile he could and walked closer to her bed and dropped the flowers into an empty vase near the pillows of her bed. Taking her hand in his, Noah sat down on the visitor chair and gave her another smile. He just really hoped she was okay.

Her eyes fluttered open but she still felt like she couldn't see. Everything was a very bright white until it all slowly faded into focus. Her very dialated orbs glanced around, jumping around the room in confusion. She honestly had no idea where she was, how she got here or what had happened. When she could see to her normal full extent she took everything in. She was in a white room, a TV hung in the corner near a door that looked to lead to a small bathroom. Her eyes were wide and scared as she looked down at herself. She was laying in a small bed with thin white blankets over her. She picked up her arm and moved it to her hand to her forehead. Pain shot through her and pulling her hand away from her face she now noticed all the needles and tubes connected to her. She felt herself pale at the sight. She was acutally really afraid of needles. Her stomach turned over and her eyes followed the tubes in her to bags of liquid with labels she didn't understand. She wanted so badly to rip the needles out of her skin but she was too worried it would only hurt much worse than what she felt like it hurt now. A frown came across her lips as it all sank in. Liberty was in the fucking hospital.
Libby's eyes fell on the door as it opened and a doctor stepped in. She let out a sigh of dislike as he looked over what she guess to be her chart. He looked up from the clip board and smiled slightly as he walked over to her bed. "Liberty Hart? I am Doctor Craig." Liberty said nothing. She simply crossed her arms over her chest a little painfully as the needle in her arm shifted. "Looking over your blood levels and a few tests we ran, you are lacking a lot of important vitamins. Not to mention you are underweight for your age and height. You are very malnourished." Once again, Libby said nothing. Duh she was malnourished. She didn't eat! Why would she? Eating was gross in her opinion. Plus a waste of time as you had to do it every single day and it was just simply annoying. "Your records also show that you have had eating problems in the past." The doctor went on. "And it looks like that you haven't really recovered from them..at all. So I am going to recommend you a therapist and possibly a rehab center for eating disorders." Liberty's jaw dropped slightly. She couldn't keep quiet any longer. "What?! No way. I've already done that! Twice! There is no fucking way I am doing that again. Thanks though Doc. You can leave now." She wasn't really sure what he was saying as he left the room because she honestly didn't care. She wasn't going back to rehab, that was for sure.
A couple minutes later a nurse came in looking a bit afraid of Libby. Hell, who wasn't afraid of her anymore. She was a huge bitch most of the time. But once again, it didn't matter to her. The nurse had a tray of food with her and Liberty scowled at it. She was probably expected to eat it. She would simply throw it out. She kept her arms crossed over her chest despite the pinching of it. "This is for you." The nurse said a little unsurely. "One of those bags is already pumping some food into you, but we would really like you to eat this as well." Lib only wanted to rip the needles out of her skin more with that but she was too much of a puss to do so. "You have a visitor. Should I send him in?" The nurse asked, which Libby replied to with "Yeah whatever." She had no idea who would be visiting her because she didn't know who even knew she was here? How long had she even been here? She sighed and let out a breath upward, it ruffling her bangs that side swept over her forehead. This was ridiculous. When would they let her go home? She had a shoot to finish. Not to mention she was fine. There was nothing wrong with her. She didn't have an eating problem. She had it under control.
The door opened once more and she didn't even bother looking until she heard a familliar voice. Her eyes landed on Noah, her boyfriend and the lead singer for Winter Pursuit. He had roses in his hands and he looked a little on the paler side. Her hands went to her face. "Noah! Go away! I look like hell!" She could feel it. Sure she had her hair done and some makeup on from the shoot, but she felt overly tired. It probably was from hitting her head when she went down. Not to mention she knew she was probably white from the whole needle situation. She felt his warm hand take one of her icey ones away from her face as he sat down beside her in a chair. What was he doing here? She was glad that he cared enough to come, but she didn't want him to see her like this. Nor did she want the doctors to let them now of their brilliant plan of making her go to rehab for her eating thing. She wasn't going and maybe if nobody else knew that they thought it'd be good for her to go, no one else would push the issue. She could make up a reason why she was in the hospital. Like kidney stones or something. Something, anything other than her eating disorders. What are you doing here?" She asked a little mumbled as she let her other hand fall from her face. Once again, she was glad he had come, but worried about how she looked. I took my bruises, Took my lumps Fell down and I got right back up. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Noah cracked his neck to the side as he sat in the hard plastic chair in the waiting room, the flowers clutched in his hand pretty tightly. The woman on the phone had mentioned that Libby had collapsed, and it didn't really surprise him that much. Well, it had, just it had been going to happen for a while now. Despite what everyone might have thought, Noah was a highly intelligent boy and even then it didn't take a genius to see that Liberty didn't eat. When Noah had taken her for dinner before, she'd barely touched the food whereas he'd cleaned his plate in a matter of minutes. Hey, growing boy and all that. Since Noah knew first hand how annoying it was when people became involved in your own business hadn't mentioned anything... perhaps now he realised he should have. Lifting his head, he flicked his hair out of his eyes with the infamous move and looked up at the nurse who would show him to Libby's room. Standing up, Noah followed her but stopped just outside the door, the doctor in a long white coat looking at him. "Mr. Charlton. It's a pleasure." Noah nodded numbly and shook the man's hand, his green eyes barely being able to resist looking at the chart in the dude's hand. "Thanks. Do you... erm, know anything?"He gestured to the door pretty stupidly but what else could he do right now? His friend... no, girlfriend was lying in bed after collapsing. It gave him valid reason to be worried. The sigh the older man gave off should have told him exactly what the prognosis was. "Liberty is okay, all things considered. She's in no desperate harm particularly..." The way the end of the sentence was left open made Noah want to cower away as the eyes looked at him like he had something he needed to do.
"I have a favour to ask, Mr Charlton." Noah thought briefly that maybe he should become a fortune teller should his musical career come to a stand still. "Call me Noah, and alright." He said tiredly and adjusted his footing as he waited for what the doctor had to say to him. "Liberty is mal-nutritioned. I'm sorry to be blunt. However, we've also noticed that she's particularly stubborn in regard to it. We were hoping that perhaps a familiar and close face would be able to encourage getting help?" Noah sighed and his eyes dropped to the floor. So, this was about her not eating. He'd hoped just slightly it could have been just a random faint that came from lack of water or something. Not this. Scratching his jaw, Noah looked back up at the doctor and nodded a little. "Yeah. I suppose. I don't know how responsive she'll be to even me though." he blinked at the doctor who nodded in silence for a moment. "Yes, well. It's better then not trying." The doctor raised his eyebrows and gave a funny look that seemed to bare into his soul as if he knew that Noah often messed in less then healthy things. His eating habits being the milder of the few. Waving slightly, Noah entered the room after taking a deep breath to give himself a moment and greeted Libby whilst dropping the flowers in the vase. He wasn't particularly surprised at the reaction Libby gave him by covering her face with her hands. Being in hospital was embarrassing enough. That's why Noah found it a type of blessing that he couldn't remember having to go to one in Ireland for his burnt hand with Garret. Good times. Smiling and ignoring Libby's comment for a moment, he took her hand in his and took a seat beside her.
Noah sniffed a little and shrugged at her question. "I just thought I would come and see you." Sending her a heart melting smile, he finished, "I wanted to make sure you were alright myself." Noah sat in quiet for a minute, trying to think how he would approach the issue that the doctor had just presented to him with. There was no dodging the issue really, but he wasn't just going to burst into it. He'd only just gotten here after all and he didn't really to be kicked out if worse comes to worse with Libby's reaction. Standing up, Noah took a seat on her bed with her, so he closer to her. Smiling still, he pushed a bit of her hair behind her ear, but kept one of her cold hands still in his warm one. She needed to heat up a bit anyway. "You still look beautiful, Libby." Noah said honestly. She really did. Even in the hospital, his stomach tightened a bit at the thought of her being hurt. It was a feeling he hadn't felt... well... really since the last time he'd seen Holli. Yes, it wasn't that long ago admittedly but there was only two people to make him feel like that. Winter was different, she was his best friend and he never felt so comfortable with someone like he did with Winnie. No, Liberty made him feel happy and almost carefree around her which was silly because wasn't this just supposed to be a stupid sex relationship from his end? Wasn't that what he had said to Garret and Mason over and over ages ago? Noah Charlton couldn't be whipped. No. Surely not. He was only nineteen. The thing was, Noah wasn't being nice just to get into her pants now. He actually wanted her to feel better which is why his brain was telling him he needed to get her to be better, no matter how hypocritical it made him. Grabbing the same hand with his other now as well, Noah rubbed it to try and get it a bit warmer. "Libby... I know it's really not my place to say..." Noah's eyes dropped to the sheets on the bed whilst his hands still rubbed and caressed hers. "But, I think maybe we should look at how we can sort this out?" Bringing her hand to his mouth, Noah left a small kiss on it and chewed his bottom lip and he lowered it back down. "We can work it out together? Get you back to the Libby who is still fantastic and wonderful now, but also is one that is eating?" Noah tried to word it as best as he could. Wasn't he the one in the band with the words and the ability to vocalise those words? Surely that talent had to help him a little here too. Hopefully.

Liberty was not happy. She hated hospitals. Hated docters. Hated needles. Hated the cold rooms. Hated the stupid tvs that never had anything on other than reruns of The Price Is Right. She hated it all. When she had been younger she had found every possible reason not to go to the doctors. One time she had gotten mono and because of her eating disorder it had hit her really hard. She had been in the hospital for a little over a week. It was horrible. She had had needles all through her and people constantly in her room trying to make her eat even though all she wanted to do was sleep. That had led to her first time going for help with eating. Rehab wasn't just for drugs and alcohol that was for sure. She had been sent there twice now for eating problems and once she had actually gotten told she was either going to have to calm down or switch centers. She couldn't help it that she didn't get along with all the other girls. They had annoyed her to no end. She had ended up bitching everyone out and probably only making things worse for them. But the center knew how she was before she they admitted her, so it wasn't her fault. They shouldn't have put her in with a bunch of annoying girls in the first place.
The doctor blabbing on about sending her to rehab was only annoying her even more than those girls had a few years back. She wouldn't have it. There was no way. No fucking way was she going back. So, she told the doctor off and told him to leave. She didn't want to hear another word from him. He said something as he walked off, but Liberty selected to hear none of it. A nurse brought in some food which Lib decided she wouldn't eat. The sight of it made her wrinkle her nose and the nurse looked at her in a disappointed matter. Lib wanted to scream at her. Instead she shot her a death glare. You know that saying if looks could kill? Liberty was pretty much the best at giving those looks. And she never felt bad about them either. She never apologized even. She had only apologized to one person about being a bitch to them and that was Winter. She did it mainly for Noah but in a secret way, she did want the drummer to like her. She was Noah's best friend after all and Liberty planned on sticking around for a while so she had to get along even if it was only the slightest of tolerences between the two. It was better than nothing anyway. Lib let out a breath of annoyance as the nurse continued to talk and just agreed to letting who ever was here to visit her in.
Seeing Noah enter the door, Lib immediately covered her face. She swore a couple times. She knew she looked like hell. Who didn't look like hell when they were in the hospital? Even the doctors and nurses looked bad. No offense to them or anything. They all just looked tired, stressed and worn out. Probably because they had to deal with patients like Lib. But once more, she could care less. She questioned him after cursing about him seeing her this way. How they had even known to call him was beyond her. Unless they had used her phone and called her In Case of Emergency contacts. Noah was the first one. Then her best friend then her mom. She hoped the others hadn't been contacted. Her mom was already always freaking out about her eating disorder. She really didn't feel like getting a call from her to hear her freak out some more. Then she really would be doomed to rehab. She moved over slightly so Noah had room to sit on the bed with her. She let a small smile appear on her lips as he pushed some hair from her face and told her she was beautiful. She wanted to argue back and tell him she knew she wasn't right now but she didn't have the energy for it. That and Noah wasn't one she normally argued with unless she was really pissed off. He was one person that she found it a bit easier to keep her temper down when she was around him than anyone else.
His warm hands felt good on her cold skin. It helped her to warm up and she wanted to smile again but his words only made her frown slightly. She knew where this was going. The doctor had told him. She could tell. Her jaw hardened at the mention of sorting it all out and the soft kiss he placed on her hand did little to soften her up on the matter. He thought it was a good idea to get her back to the healthy eating Liberty. She wanted to laugh in his face. Sure he had worded it better than 'Oh hey go to rehab.', but still. It was all meaning the same thing. "Noah. I am fine." She pulled her hand from his grip and crossed her arms over her chest once more. She was stubborn as all hell on this matter. She was not fucking going to rehab. There was no way. "I don't have any problems, I don't need any help. I'm just fine and there is no fucking way I am going to another rehab center, Noah. So maybe you should just drop the whole topic and find a doctor to check me out of this awful hell hole." Her eyes found his again after looking around the room for some sort of call button so she could check out or get out of the hospital. Looking at him though, her stomach did a flip. He honestly looked worried about her. Libby could see it in his eyes. She felt her face soften slightly, her jaw no longer clenched down in anger.
"No Noah.." She said a little softer and a little less sure. She really cared about Noah. She was honestly really starting to fall for him. To see him here and really nervous and worried for her really struck a chord somewhere inside of her. Liberty frowned slightly. Was that look he had really making her question everything? This was insane. She didn't need help, did she? She felt the stiffness of her arms crossed over her chest loosen noticeably and her body seemed to sink into the hard hospital bed. "No.." Libby's voice was much softer this time and her eyes drobbed to the white sheets that lay over her. She couldn't look at him or she was sure she would cave more and more. How she let it get this far that he had so much of an effect on her was crazy. She rarely let herself fall so fast and so much for any boy because she was sick of getting hurt. It only added on to her bitchy exterior. But Noah was different and like it or not, sooner or later she would give into him if he really felt it a good idea for her. She mentally cursed the doctors for saying anything to him in the first place.
