your scent is the rum, the room is the bottle

Kenzie stood at the merch tent with Winter. She basically had to drag the girl out to sign a few things for a half hour. That was all she was asking. She knew that Winter didn't really like to take pictures and be out as much right now because she had put on some weight. Kenzie thought it cute and a lot of the fans were all about it. She even noticed some of the fans bringing baby themed gifts for the drummer. Once again, Kenzie thought it adorable. Winter on the other hand, seemed set back by it all. Kenz couldn't help but laugh as she watched Winter thank people hesitantly and take pictures even more hesitantly. Kenzie kept people moving along though, knowing that Win would want this to be over as soon as possible. After a half hour was up, she kept her promise and let the drummer return to her hiding spot on the tour bus. She promised her that tomorrow she would go with her shopping and help her find some clothes that fit her six month pregnant belly. Kenz smiled as she walked back to the merch tent, simply sitting and help sell a couple shirts for the band as she had nothing else to do really. She smiled slightly to herself. She couldn't help but feel a tiny pang of jealousy toward Winter. Not that Kenzie really wanted a kid right now, but some day she did. Some day a long ways down the road from now. She unscrewed the lid off her water bottle and took a swig. Okay, so it wasn't water. It never was with her. But no one else knew that. Well, almost every on tour did. The fans and the public, not so much. Not that she cared that they did know, she just didn't want to be on the front of some magazine as that tour manager who was an alcoholic waste. Though, the alcoholic part of that pretty much summed it up as she was starting at five in the afternoon. Hey five was prime time right? Well in a lot of songs it was anyway so she decided it was.
The Winter Pursuit manager sold a few things, promised a few fans that she would deliver gifts they had brought for the band members and answered a few questions about them. A couple fans asked if she could score them backstage passes for the show that was in about an hour and half. However, Kenz had to turn them away as she honestly didn't have any to hand out. Sometimes they had a hard enough time getting the passes for people who actually needed them like crew and photographers. The venue staff were hard to bargain with. She understood that they didn't want unknown crazy fans running all over the place and possibly destroying things but they had to understand that they had people who had to be backstage. They had to get all the techs backstage and Avalon to take pictures. Kenz always pushed to get Stella back as well as after all, her brother was on stage and she was also the stylist. She usually made up some story about how Stella got them all ready and they wouldn't perform without her before show prepping. Usually she scored the extra backstage pass but there had been a couple times where she had given up her own to one of the crew members who hadn't gotten one. Some venues handed out the passes like candy though and then she had a chance to randomly pass them out to a couple fans. Of course, she tried to choose the ones that weren't going to act crazy as she knew the band members didn't want that either. Tonight though, she had no passes and she finished selling some merch before she went to get ready for the show herself. She normally would simply go as is and not get ready really, but she wanted to go out after and didn't want to have to go to the hotel again before she did so. She was ready to drink, obviously as she already was. But tonight she had the urge to get really drunk as she hadn't in a while. Well, the last time she had had ended up to her waking up next to Noah. Needless to say she got a lot of shit for it even though she knew it was all in fun. However, she didn't want to go through that again. She really wasn't one to just hook up. It had been an off night for sure.
Going back to the hotel and showering, she got ready completely, doing her hair and make up and everything. Kenzie looked herself over in the mirror, fixing her lip gloss and ruffling her hair slightly before being satisfied. She nodded, grabbing her things before she headed back to the tour grounds and to the stage. She made her way to the back, flashing her pass that allowed her to get backstage, and walked up the members of Winter Pursuit who were getting ready to go out. She ignored a comment made by Noah about her being all dressed up just for them and rolled her eyes. "Alright, do you guys need anything?" She asked and Winter commented about there not being enough water the night before, just to check this time. She nodded and headed off to the stage. She barely glanced to the audience who she knew was waiting for the band to finally make their appearance. She placed three or four bottles of water by each person's instrument and where they normally stood. Then she made her way to the mic and pulled it off of it's stand, "Alright guys, who is ready for Winter Pursuit!" She asked as the crowd cheered. "Well too bad because they aren't playing tonight unless you let them hear you." She teased and the crowd cheered louder. She smiled and placed the mic back on the stand as the band members came onto the stage and the crowd cheered even more. She stepped back and gave Noah a hug, telling them all good luck, and exited the stage to watch the show from the side. Even if she wasn't backstage she always watched their shows as she really did like their music. They all worked so well together. She finished off what was her second water bottle full of alcohol as the show ended and the members came off the stage all sweaty and Winter gave her the normal sweat filled hug. "Win no! I'm going out!" She said as the drummer wiped some sweat onto her. "Anyone else wanna go?" She asked but they all already had plans. She shrugged and winked, "Your loss!"
And with that, Kenzie was off to find the nightlife of the city. She found herself in one of the many clubs, slightly tipsy from her two water bottles. She was on the dance floor for a little bit, dancing with randoms and letting them buy her drinks with no intentions of going home with them. Then she spotted a familiar face. Oliver. The manager for Seduction By Design, Winter Pursuit's Rival band. She smirked as she made her way up to him. The two weren't exactly friends as their bands hated each other and they were constantly caught up in the drama of it all as well. This was the last place she really expected him though because she knew he wasn't a drinker by any means. A smirk crossed her face as she made her way up to him. She was feeling pretty good by now. "Well well well. Look who it is." She said as she reached him. "Drink-less as well. What a surprise." She couldn't help but comment as she turned to the bartender. "I'll have a captain and coke, diet please. And he will have a beer, whatever you have on tap. On me." Her smirk stayed. She knew he wasn't a drinker but she liked to push things. It was probably a bad habit, but she didn't care. Not to mention she was a couple drinks away from being drunk so she probably wasn't going to take a no from him.
