time stops breathing for a moment IF RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW IS ALL WE'VE GOT
Hanging out in the back room where the bands waited wasn’t exactly the most exciting thing ever. Actually, for mj, it was actually kind of boring. At least in her mind. They honestly just sat there relaxing and such until it was time for them to go on. Mary Jane would have personally loved to just go out and be wandering the town for the half hour or so before it was time for the band to go on, but getting in and out of the arena was a hassle, she found out the hard way. Those stupid body guards were serious about their jobs, and that was just quite pathetic, though she wasn’t going to say that. The big one, George, she was sure his name was? Yeah, he was a scary guy. So Mary Jane was forced to sit in the dressing room with the rest of the band, which wasn’t that bad. She just kind of watched and snapped random pictures. She loved catching some of the guys off guard with her camera. It was entertaining, she had to admit. She loved taking random pictures; those were the ones that turned out the best really. The ones that were never planned, those spontaneous ones. She knew that she probably got on someone’s nerves with it, but she didn’t care. If she got great shots out of it, she never cared.
God, she was bored. She was tempted to pull out her playing cards and start a game with someone, but she couldn’t really be bothered. Staring gat her phone texting whoever would have to work. At the moment ‘whoever’ was garret, who was still all up in a twitter because of his recent engagement to grace. It was cute, and nauseating at the same time, but she put up with it all the same. After calling him a pessimistic bitch and other things that she really didn’t remember, she felt she should be nice to boy while he’s this excited. Even if Kelley did apparently laugh at him. Anyways, that was another story. As she sat there texting Garret, she played with her shoes idly, honestly bored of just sitting there. Sitting there was no something Mary Jane liked. Especially waiting for a show to start.
Hearing the door open suddenly, she looked up as she hit send on her message, and she raised an eyebrow as one of the guys from one of the other bands showed up. She stared at him for a minute, honestly confused as to why one of the other band guys were there… then it clicked. It was that Noah kid. The one Corbin had told her about. She remembered when Corbin had told her about asking the lead singer of Winter Pursuit to join him on stage one day. That must have been today. Well, damn. How did she forget that? She’d talked to him earlier too, online, telling him that she’d make sure to save those embarrassing shots that she might inadvertently take of him. She smirked as she thought about that. Dropping her phone onto her lap, she reached beside her for her camera. Raising it up to her eye, she snapped a quick shot of him as he talked to Corbin, but she was sure he noticed. The flash was hard to ignore. “We’ll see how many embarrassing shots I get tonight. Get your wallet ready.” she sent a smirk his way as the manager came back, saying it was almost time for Finders Keepers to go onstage.
The show itself had taken really no time at all. She had no idea why the shows always seem to go so fast. Sometimes it was a blessing, like those days where she just wasn’t feeling up to it, which was rare, and other times it wasn’t long enough, like tonight. It had been a spectacular show. Honestly, the band always had energy, and always sounded so amazing. And the fans reactions this time to when Noah had walked onstage was also worth it. it was actually funny; being where she was, it was easy to hear some of the girls that were closest to the stage shouting up at them, and dear God, some of those girls sure had dirty minds. It was entertaining, to say the least.
Following the guys back towards the dressing room, she ran at hand through her blond hair, not really paying attention the chatter she could hear between Noah and Corbin. Instead, she scrolled through the pictures, already spotting a few pictures that she knew Noah would consider embarrassing. She couldn’t help but smirk slightly at it. would she really post those up anywhere? Probably not. But if she got a few bucks out of keeping them to herself, who was she to not twist the truth a bit, huh? Plus, she needed the cash ( but who didn’t these days? ) yawning, she glanced up as she stopped herself from turning the wrong way and going towards the exit rather than the dressing room where they had been in the beginning of the night. What the hell was going through her head tonight…
Walking in, first thing she did was go towards the couch and grab her phone. Yeah, she was one of those girls that constantly checked her phone. Well, mostly because she was often texting people back. One of them her mother. She loved the woman, but she was twenty one. She really did not need her mom there constantly texting her did she? Ah well. She loved her mom, so it was okay. Texting her mom back saying the show was done, and she’d call her back later, she snapped her phone shut and shoved it into the pocket of her jeans just as she heard a voice behind her. Turning around quickly, she felt herself smirking slightly as she glanced up at Noah. Well not really up, seeing as she was only a few inches shorter than him. boy did she love being pretty tall for a girl. “You are quite popular. I swear I’ve never heard so many girls shouting ‘fuck me’ all at once.” Turning around for a second, she grabbed her camera off the couch, quickly scrolling through the pictures until she got to a few with Noah and Corbin. Turning the camera around to show him, she smiled slightly. “You’re lucky you are photogenic. Sometimes it’s hard as anything to get Corbin at the right angle. You turned out perfect.”

I Can Feel Your, I Can Feel Your Good Vibrations - - - - - - - - - The day Noah had passed his driving test at the age of sixteen had been, in his eyes, one of the most important days of his life. Not for the fact he could then drive his baby, nor the fact he then had some extra independence from his parents but rather, because it meant he could get to the Finders Keepers gig that he'd been given tickets to over three hours drive away. Sure, his mother had shaken his head as he had walked in, shown his mother and father his certificate, before turning around and starting the journey. They had been undoubtedly his favourite band when he was younger which was why when Winter Pursuit had been scouted by the very same label, Noah had almost cried in happiness. What if he got a chance to see the God himself, Corbin, had been his first reaction that had sprung to mind after signing his contract that day. Had you told him that he would actually sit and play video games with the dude or talk over chat to him, Noah would have ignored you from that point on for not being quite right in the head. Told him that Corbin would ask him to sing with FK on tour? Noah would have slapped you. It had happened though, and all of his friends had been present so he hadn't just imagined it.
Of course, he had thought the God singer had forgotten about it but when it had been brought up again and the details had been sorted, Noah had danced in the back lounge of the bus for a good half hour. Singing with his favourite band?! It was insane. What had he done to deserve to be able to perform with the musicians who had inspired him to get involved in a band and sing in front of thousands of eager fans? Licking his lips as he headed down the corridor, Corbin had told him to meet them in the changing room for a quick hello but what if he got in there and the guy had changed his mind? He knew the singer wasn't like that but still, was this actually going to happen? Shit, he could do with some good luck lately. He just prayed he hadn't used it all up on his epic prank on the AFD boys. Oh, Garrets face had been a treat to say the least.
Noah had gone for a casual look because he wanted to be comfortable when he sung his heart out. Sure, he had vowed never to wear baggy jeans on stage again for fear of being pantsed again coming true but equally, he didn't really want skinny jeans to rip where it was embarrassing. Truthfully, Noah was just trying to cover all the bases. Breathing out, Noah opened the door with a smile to one of the crew who had shown him where Finders' Keepers were chilling and entered the room, his anxiety dropping slightly when Corbin turned to him with a grin. Guess he hadn't changed his mind then. Holding his hand out, Noah accepted the close handshake and grinned as Corbin spoke to him, his nerves slowly creeping away to being replaced with the initial excitement he'd felt when it had been decided he would sing with them. Smirking at Charlie, Noah did a slightly more familiar knuckle bump with the dude, having spoke to him far more then he had the lead singer.
The camera flash caught him off guard and he blinked slowly, trying to clear the bright light now in front of his vision. Turning his head slightly, Noah spotted a beautiful blonde on the couch. Right, Mary Jane. They'd spoken as a greeting once or twice before at like parties or something but they'd also talked for a short while on the chat earlier that day. Noah smirked at her words whilst also shaking his head. "As long as I stay on my feet, I think I'll be alright." Grinning at her, Noah kept his eyes on her as the Finders Keepers manager came in to usher the band on stage. Slapping Corbins hand again, Noah called after him. "Break a leg." He knew they didn't need it because hell, they were Finders Keepers but whatever.
The show went in a blur, and it hadn't been long before Noah had joined them on stage singing the main parts of his favourite song 'down'. The crowd had responded positively which was a relief... he'd been worried he would have been booed and then booted off the stage. Silly, really. Still, it hadn't happened and Noah's voice had been rich like usual and apparently gone down a treat. Walking down the corridor with Corbin afterwards, Noah chatted about the show with an adrenaline fueled singer. Hey, it always happened when you'd just played a full set. Grinning, Noah let the guy leave to get a shower or whatever and checked his crackberry, a number of messages already having come through telling him that he nailed it tonight. Thank God! Hopefully they weren't just being nice. He spotted Mary Jane heading into the changing room again and figuring he didn't have much else to do, he best sort out this whole embarrassing picture situation.
Avalon of course seemed to find some sick enjoyment at posting pictures he thought was horrific on their site for all the fans to see. Often, there was videos as well... ones he didn't even remember like the one of him dancing drunk at a bar. He didn't hold grudges, his confidence and pride was pretty much too high to be affected by things like that but it was still amusing to keep up the joke. Still, embarrassing pictures on the best moment of his life was probably not what he wanted really. Heading in, Noah smirked at her back "MJ, right?" He hoped she didn't mind him using the nickname. Raising an eyebrow slightly at her first comment, Noah shrugged. He loved the fans, but there were many experiences he would truthfully rather forget. "I am irresistable." He smirked which showed he was kidding. Even his ego didn't reach that far.
His eyes dropped to look at the camera he was showing her and Noah smiled happily at them. They looked great! That was probably why she was a photographer. "Oh, awesome!" Noah said honestly, and lifted his eyes as MJ spoke. "I have seen a few pictures that could disagree with that statement." Laughing slightly, Noah saw that one image burned into his mind taken of him only in his underwear that had been snapped during the prank on Winter Pursuit. "So, the real question, Mary Jane." He drawled her name slightly, looking at her through playfully narrowed eyes. "Exactly how many photos did you take that could be constrewed as... humiliating?"
Reaching behind him, Noah pulled his wallet from his back pocket of his jeans and opened. He knew it was unlikely he would actually have to pay... or at least he hoped he wouldn't. He was just a poor nineteen year old. Ireland had cleaned him out with the bill he'd received for the damage they'd caused last year. Noah got another quick thought. Maybe it was time to move on? Worth a go, right? "Or, how about..." Noah waved his wallet slightly, "How about I buy you some coffee with the money instead? Deal?" They had gotten along great on the chat and Noah would certainly like to get to know her better. He had only realised that talking to her had been the only time that Liberty and what she was up to hadn't been playing on his mind. It couldn't hurt, right? Even if she did say no, of course.
