TELL ME THAT YOU'VE GOT EVERYTHING YOU WANT&& Y O U R B I R D C A N S I N GBUT YOU DON'T GET ME, YOU DON'T GET ME
Grace couldn’t really recall the last time she had stayed up late for something that was not work related. Back in LA she’d often stay up till eleven down at the office, head home to the apartment she shared with Charlotte, eat, then stay up for a few more hours. Thus why her and Charlotte had gotten along swell when they had first met; they were alike in that aspect. It had been a while since she had stayed up for a while. But ever since Garret’s proposal onstage, she had definitely been taking everything a lot more lightly. She hadn’t been in this good of a mood in so long; in fact, since they had gotten together the second time months ago. This was probably the only time she had ever been that happy, only a lot more, because now, it meant one thing for them; they were getting married. Honestly, those had been the only thoughts in grace’s head since that night. She was ecstatic, excited, elated. She had been all smiles and laughs for days. She knew Seth probably wasn’t exactly happy about the whole thing; she personally wondered if he’d had any ideas. None of the other guys had known; at least Kelley hadn’t. and if Kelley didn’t know that Garret had been planning on proposing on stage, she was pretty sure that none of the others would have known it either. She had no idea why the thought of that made it twice as adorable as it really was. she was just a sucker for romance.
It had been fun just hanging out with Garret for the past few days. There hadn’t been any of the stupid fights they had gotten into. Just actually having fun. Sure, now she was feeling bad she hadn’t hung out with Charlotte in a while, but thankfully she had Kelley to keep her entertained. As for Seth, she knew that she had to hang out with him. she loved hanging out with Seth, even if he did think of her as his little brat of a sister, haha. That had been the plan last night, but… well actually she wasn’t sure if watching movies with Garret was a legit excuse that Seth would have accepted. Well when she met up with him today she’d have to figure it out…
Honestly, grace hadn’t expected to fall asleep during the movie. Especially since it had been Nightmare On Elm Street. Course, the nightmare that came with it was unavoidable. How she slept, she wasn’t sure at all. All she knew was that when she woke up, it was only about eight thirty or so in the morning, the bus had stopped moving ( as apparently they had reached their next city ) and garret was no where to be seen. Hm… it was honestly rare when he was up earlier than her. but she didn’t question it. there was a simple matter of, he went to get food, or he was having one of those days when he was actually able to wake up early. Either way, she was up and he was gone. Stretching, she stood up, looking towards the back of the bus. There was someone else still sleeping.. or more than one… walking towards the back, she laughed to herself as she realized it was seth. Should she… nah. She’d give him a few more minutes. Going towards her bunk, she reached into the bag she kept in her bunk for her toothbrush before heading into the miniscule bathroom. If there was one thing she hated about tour life, it was the bathrooms on the buses. It bothered her most out of everything, she was sure. Sadly, she was a pain when it came to hygiene. If she could not take a shower at least once a day it bothered her.
After she’d brushed her teeth and left the bathroom to hunt for her phone ( the one that she was determined as anything not drop and break this time around ), she hunted Garret down in the back or the bus where he sat with Kelley and Dayna, who were planning on going out. Picking up Dayna to talk with her for a few minutes while she let Garret and Kelley talk about whatever, or maybe even reminisce about old memories (they did that a lot, if anyone ever caught them online), she listened to the girl ramble on about whatever came to her head, mostly about cartoons, her drawings, and the ring on Grace’s finger. The girl had been in love with the ring since they’d gotten back to the bus that night. She was forever staring at it and how shiny it was and wanting to know if she was going to have a wedding like Ariel’s from The Little Mermaid. She honestly could not answer that; in fact she was pretty sure that they hadn’t really even discussed anything so far, though she definitely had a few ideas in her head. Sighing as Kelley stood up, saying they were heading out, she placed a kiss on Dayna’s head as she followed her daddy out the door and off the bus, with Garret going along. Huh, looks like they were hanging out. As she waved like a little girl, she sighed as she crashed on the couch in the back again, thinking about what she could do today when an idea struck her. Was today the day she had planned to hang out with Seth? she honestly couldn’t remember. She would assume it was, as she found herself telling garret she was going to hang out with him. she couldn’t help but laugh slightly as he said he’d go with Kelley and Dayna or something. She was sure that after the whole stage incident, Garret really hadn’t spent that much time around Seth. She still wasn’t even sure how Seth felt about the whole thing. She wasn’t really willing to find out either. The whole proposal thing. God knew that she’d get an earful. And that could wait till at least noon. Walking towards the bunk, she glanced up at Seth’s bunk, making a face as she realized that she’d need leverage just to be able to wake him up.
Standing up on the bunk underneath Seth’s, she reached up, her fingers curling over the edge of his bunk and pulling herself up slightly. Ugh, this must have been why she failed physical education in high school. Pull ups weren’t her thing. Resting her chin against the bunk, she stared at his head for a minute before reaching one of her hands forward and poking him right in between the shoulder blades. “Seth…. Wake up, seth.” she said softly, continuing to poke at him slightly. Yeah, this wouldn’t kill that ‘brat of a sister’ reputation she had with him, but he should have been used to it. When they were little she did the same thing. Except then it was so much easier for her to jump on his bed than now. She was short, but she wasn’t that short. It wouldn’t work as well unless she was willing for the inevitable bump that would show up on her head. “Come on, Seth. Wakey-wakey.”

give me an obstacleI'M GUARANTEED I'LL BATTLE THROUGH There had been a lot on Seth’s mind lately. Normally, the twenty one year old was known as being chill and laid back; he was patient and it usually took a lot to ruffle his feathers. But frankly, that could have been a side effect of the weed he liked to smoke the moment he began to feel stressed or upset about something…much like he had been lately. But not even the drug was able to calm him down this time; Seth was definitely very riled up about the most recent events that had been occurring and if he had his way, none of them would have happened. Period. Yeah, he knew it was wrong to try and put a stop to the fact that his little sister was getting married to the one person that had caused her nothing but heartbreak, but damn it, Seth would rather chop a leg – no his dick - off than deal with seeing her that upset again. And of course, there was just nothing that he could do to make sure nothing bad ever happened to her again; if there was anything Seth hated, it was feeling completely powerless like he did in this situation. Why did Grace have to agree to marry the one person who refused to give Seth any amount of respect? That would probably end up being the 8th wonder of the world.
He had definitely been frustrated, not to mention more than a little pissed off and maybe sort of happy, when Garret had cautiously asked him for permission to marry Grace and his first, mental response was simply no. In big, bold, neon flashing letters. This was not okay with him; the whole thought of his little sister going off and getting married made him kind of sick if he was going to be honest. Especially to Garret. If it hadn’t been for that pact of theirs, Seth was sure he probably would have hunted the other man down and done something he would have regretted. And the fact that he had asked her on stage in front of God and everybody? Yeah, not exactly something Seth had been in the mood to witness when he had just started to get okay with the idea that his little sister was going to get married.
Seth simply wanted to take an hour and talk to Grace, just so he could figure out why the hell she would agree to marry the one person who had made her so miserable (yet extremely happy at times…God, he couldn’t forget that much could he). But, of course, his sister had been even scarcer than usual, which simply didn’t settle well with him. Like last night…last night he was pretty sure that they were supposed to have done something, but instead he had simply given up on ever seeing his sister again. Seth wasn’t going to lie; he liked being close to Grace, it was just always how things were with them. Sure, he acted annoyed at times, but that was just because he was older. That’s how big brothers were supposed to act, right? Regardless, the fact that there was a lot of distance between himself and his sister was really starting to grate on his nerves, which did nothing but put Seth into a negative mood. After the previous night, he had gone to bed in a rather apathetic mood, curling up under his blankets much like he had when he was a child complete with his head under a pillow and the top of the blanket clutched to his chest. It was a small comfort for him, but it didn’t matter. He wasn’t going to complain. Surprisingly, his spinning mind let him fall asleep rather easily and Seth soon found himself in a rather nice, dark, dreamless sleep…
…Only to be interrupted by the feeling of a finger jabbing him between his shoulder blades. At first, he simply tried to move away, but the bunks on the bus didn’t exactly offer a lot of room and he finally just rolled onto his back, letting his head fall to the side and he cracked his eyes open, frowning at the blur that was beside him. “The fuck?” He asked, rubbing at his eyes. “That you Grace?” Of course it was; he couldn’t mistake her voice anywhere and the twenty one year old blindly reached for the black rimmed glasses he kept nearby for situations exactly like this...well, okay, more like for when it was first thing in the morning and he didn’t want to kill himself stumbling to the bathroom. It wasn’t his fault he was blessed with poor vision, after al.l. That was his parents’ genetics fault. Once his vision was clear, he just let out a short breath of air, looking at her with a tinge of annoyance. Sure, he loved Grace, but the girl was definitely a huge, giant brat when it came to him. Seth could easily name multiple times when all he had wanted to do was punt Grace out the window due to her doing things like mooching money off of him (which of course he couldn’t refuse or else he’d be labeled as a terrible person),waking him up at weird hours (like now, for instance), and just being an annoying little sister in general (which she was extremely good at). “Hi, what do you want?” Was today the day they were supposed to hang out and go do whatever in town? Seth honestly couldn’t remember; in fact, it had completely slipped his mind due to the fact he hadn’t written it down or inserted it into his phone. So maybe it was a good thing that she has here, poking him awake and peeking at him over the side of his bed. Seth sat up, well as well as he could in the cramped space, and grinned at her, saying the first thing that came to mind by way of a more awake, alert greeting. “God you’re so annoying. Brat” Oh, siblings.

TELL ME THAT YOU'VE GOT EVERYTHING YOU WANT&& Y O U R B I R D C A N S I N GBUT YOU DON'T GET ME, YOU DON'T GET ME She couldn’t help but smile as he rubbed at his eyes. She got a smile on her face, though she was sure that he wouldn’t be able to see it without those glasses of his. Thankfully she hadn’t gotten that bad of vision from her parents. Hers was only slightly bad. Seth’s was bad; his glasses always gave her headaches whenever she had tried to wear them. She rested her chin again against the bunk as he asked her what she wanted. She made a face at him as he asked that. “It’s morning?” That was really the only reason she needed. See, she could easily get up early in the morning and not be a grouchy sourpuss in the morning, unlike her brother. Whenever it had been time to get ready for school, she would be up and ready to go by the time Seth was rolling out of bed. Sometimes she didn’t bother waking him up just so he wouldn’t be grouchy, and other times he just didn’t care and would go in and try pulling him out of bed. “We’re hanging out today. So come on.” She said softly, the tiniest bit of a whine in her voice (the only time she really ever pulled this card).
A grin grew on her face as he called her annoying. As usual. “I know. But you’re stuck with me. So come on.” she said simply as she hopped down from the bunks. She looked up at him expectantly, crossing her arms. She wasn’t going to give up. When it came to setting her mind to something, grace wouldn’t give it up or let it go. And since it involved Seth, she sure as heck wasn’t going to let this go. If there was one person she loved hanging out with ( other than Garret that was ), it was Seth. ever since they were kids, she loved dragging him everywhere. Sure, half the time it was because he could drive before she could, and thus was her chauffer after she begged and got their mom dragged in, but even then she loved having him. They weren’t really those siblings that fought that often, no matter how many times they got on each other’s nerves. She loved Seth too much, even if she was a brat to him ( ha. Yeah right. ) “I’ll make coffee. Get out of bed soon!” she tossed the words at him as she started walking off towards where the kept the coffee maker they had bought along. It was an old thing, but it worked and that was what mattered, even if it did have those days where it was coughing and sputtering and being generally not good.
Pouring water into the top of it, she hit a few buttons to start it up. Sitting down, she let her fingers run idly over the random magazine that laid on it. there really was never a good read around on the bus. Honestly, tour life wasn’t exactly the most exciting experience for grace. If asked directly, she would most definitely have to say that she would rather be back home in Los Angeles working back in the office. Even if it meant being away from Garret, Seth, Charlotte, most of her friends. She loved the office. Sure, traveling was good. In fact, she liked traveling. But constantly traveling for this long when she could be working? Just not Grace’s ideal cup of tea. She was constantly texting Ashlynn asking how things were; she loved Ashlynn, and missed her. she was sure that the girl was probably getting annoyed by her though, there was no doubt about it in Grace’s mind. Oh well. She’d keep bothering the poor girl till the day she got back to LA.
Glancing up, she stood up quickly before grabbing the big cup off of the coffee maker, along with two mugs. Making herself busy as she poured the coffee out and all that fun stuff, she stared idly out the window, hoping that Seth was in a good mood. She knew that ever since Garret’s surprise on stage, he hadn’t been the happiest guy ever. She’d gotten back to the bus the night early after seeing charlotte ( after apologizing profusely for not immediately calling her and squealing excitedly over the news ), and he’d been in bed. A part of her tried to recall if they had made plans to do something after the show ( a big part of her was kind of pretty sure they did ), and if they did, well, crap, she pretty much had stood him up. Thus why she was making him coffee and poking him in between the shoulder blades at near nine in the morning. She was going to spend the day with him, and possibly get an answer out of him for how he felt. She knew that him and Garret weren’t exactly the best of friends, so this engagement deal ( that still sounded wrong, but it sounded nice ), was definitely not going to be easy. Seeing as she cared about what Seth thought, maybe even more than what her mom and dad would have thought when she told them.
Walking towards his bunk with the two mugs, she glanced up to make sure he was still in the bunk and not talking to the empty cramped space above. Holding her hand up with his mug, she took her own sip of the coffee, pretty much burning some of those taste buds that she had before she decided to speak. “get out of your bunk. It’s like, nine.” She said, stating the rather obvious as she walked off towards the back of the bus and placed her cup of coffee on the table before heading back towards his bunk. Climbing up once more, she rested her head back again on the edge of the bunk in a rather similar fashion as she did earlier when she poked him away. “I’ll drag you out. We have all day to hang out.” She said, smiling brightly. She wasn’t really sure how she really managed to be this awake in the morning, especially compared to her Seth, who would probably sleep away the whole day.

give me an obstacleI'M GUARANTEED I'LL BATTLE THROUGH It’s morning. Was that really the best excuse that Grace could come up with? It didn’t really matter; Seth knew that that was her typical excuse. He could definitely remember back in school when their mother would hand Grace the task of waking him and that was always her excuse why he should take the effort to roll out of bed when the then teenaged Seth would much rather sleep in. “Not good enough.” He grumbled, rolling over and wishing that some sort of heavenly intervention would happen so that he wouldn’t have to get out of bed. Grace’s next words definitely piqued his interest though and he looked at her, brow raised. “Oh, really now?” Okay, so maybe he sounded kind of rude, but Seth really did not take well to being stood up, especially by his little sister. And after their previous plans being completely forgetting in lieu of the whole engagement? Part of him was just flat out pissed off, another part was understood and yet a whole different part was just flat out hurt. Yeah, it hurt when your own sister wouldn’t even come talk to you about the fact that she had, oh my god, just gotten engaged. Was she attempting to give him space? Hell, Seth didn’t know. All he knew was that he had some extremely mixed feelings about the whole deal and he wasn’t sure if he was supposed to be happy, or upset, or angry or, well, anything. “No,” Seth argued at her demanding his getting out of bed. “Nope. You owe me at least this much. Bring me coffee in bed and then I might think about it. You know?” Okay, so maybe acting like a prince wouldn’t accomplish much but Seth knew how Grace worked and he knew that he could definitely get a lot out of her when she was aware that he was upset about something. He was definitely planning on using that to his advantage. No big deal, right?
For now, he just sighed and relaxed against his pillows, listening to the sounds of Grace moving around and making him his coffee. So he was in a bit of a bad mood; who could blame him? Regardless he knew that Grace didn’t deserve it and he was definitely going to attempt to be nice to her. Being nice to Grace wasn’t that difficult…most days. If he was going to be upset, it needed to be with Garret. Or, better yet, nobody. Seth wasn’t even that angry of a guy; the only times he usually got mad was when it dealt with Garret (mostly because he definitely knew how to press every single one of Seth’s buttons) or when he was hung over, overly tired or sick. Oh he was definitely able to feel the pangs of guilt for his bad mood and it had only been what? A few minutes? It wasn’t a good sign. Seth sighed, licking his lips, and pushed his glasses up, rubbing his eyes with his fingertips. His eyes were killing him; it was a probably a combination of being tired and straining his eyes. Yeah, his vision was bad. It was really bad, actually, and Seth had times when he was too lazy to get his glasses (even though he knew full well that he wouldn’t be able to see, period) and would then strain to see, which would simply give him one major headache. He was about ready to roll out of bed to go put his contacts in and get ready for the day when Grace appeared with his cup of glorious coffee.
“That’s the problem, Gracie.” Seth stated, peering over the side of his bed to see her coming toward him. “Almost nine is too early. Do you even remember the last time I woke up before nine?” He cracked a rather amused smile, since he knew that Grace would know exactly what he meant. The last time Seth had actually gotten out of bed before nine am really wasn’t that long ago, but it had definitely not been a good morning since there had been no coffee involved. “God you have no idea how glad I am not to have a normal job.” Which he very much was. Seth knew that there was no way in hell he would ever be able to hold a nine to five job, five days a week for the rest of his working life. It was too…god he couldn’t even think of the proper words to describe it. He just knew it would be impossible for him…mostly because he definitely liked to sleep way too much for his own good.
As Grace held out his coffee, he took it with a happy sigh and took a nice, long sip from it. “Thanks, bug.” He said, using an old nickname for her. “It’s good. And be patient, little girl, I’m getting up right now. No need to drag me. You probably couldn’t do it even if you tried. You’re just so weak.” He flashed her a cheek smile as he carefully maneuvered his way from his bunk. “And you better mean that ‘all day’ thing, Grace. No distractions. You owe me at least this much.” Okay, so maybe the ‘you owe me’ part of his statement sounded a bit cryptic, but he really didn’t care. He knew that Grace was busy and the ‘all day’ probably just meant a couple of hours; she was busy after all what with her job and boyfr—fiancé. He would be lucky to get that much time; frankly he was kind of jealous of the amount of time Garret got to spend with his sister. He understood why, but that didn’t make it any easier. Seth just didn’t trust him. What could he do other than being a major tool though? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. With a sigh, he stretched as well as he could with coffee in hand and then took another drink, already feeling more awake and alert than he had minutes before. What was it about caffeine? Seth figured he was an addict or something. He appreciated it though because now he was able to turn to Grace and offer a more legitimate smile. “So what do you want to do today? Since I’m going to be a nice brother and let you pick.” Would he regret it? Nah. It was precious time spent with his sister; whatever she made him do would definitely be worth it.

TELL ME THAT YOU'VE GOT EVERYTHING YOU WANT&& Y O U R B I R D C A N S I N GBUT YOU DON'T GET ME, YOU DON'T GET ME
That’s a perfect excuse.” she shouted over her shoulder as she started to move on and go about coffee making. Really, was it that hard to wake up in the morning? She did this often enough to be used to him being a whiny person whenever it came to waking up before, say noon, but really, it meant the later he woke up, the less time they would have together. And really, she was sure she just wanted to hang out with him for the day. You know, the whole brother/sister bonding thing. That, and the fact that she was sure he was agitated. At her personally, maybe, at garret, more than likely, at her possibly standing him up, that might have been a big one. She turned her head around to him as he refused to get out of bed, and she couldn’t help but roll her eyes at him. shaking her head, she took the high road and didn’t say a thing, but instead went back to having that amazing focus that was un-needed in coffee making. Really, these moods, she was a bit used to, but it had been a while. It had been trivial reasons in the past, mostly her using the fact that she was younger than him to her advantage for whatever the reason, usually money. But it was often just kind of a teasing thing, didn’t last long. And this whole …..engagement thing was a little more serious than borrowing twenty bucks. Really, if it made him feel any better, she was having her own difficulties facing the fact that she was now freaking engagement. Not even a few months ago her and garret were at each other’s throats, fighting over who broke who’s heart and who was an asshole and a bitch and whatever other profanities they had called each other. And now here they were, engaged. For legit marriage. Really, how often did that happen? Not often, unless the pairing was dysfunctional as anything…. Which is pretty much what they were. Crap, maybe she shouldn’t have gotten her head too wrapped around this issue right then and there.
And yes, her thoughts on the engagement got her to this point in time, her handing her lazy butt brother his cup of coffee as he stayed in bed. As she tried her hand at getting him out of bed ( this time with the lame excuse that it was almost nine in the morning ), she knew it was a pointless effort with just the first four words he spoke. She didn’t even bother standing there for that; instead she just walked back towards the back area of the bus, where it was definitely more pleasant to sit and listen to her brother’s logic. Hearing his question, she raised an eyebrow as she climbed up onto the bunk, or at least attempted to, staring him straight in the eye. “If it is possible for you to get up at nine for fans, it should be more than possible for you to get up at nine for me.” she said, an innocent smile playing on her lips as she jumped down, failing to answer to his statement of him having a normal job. In all honesty, any job that did not involve a bus and guitars and playing music every night just wouldn’t seem right with Seth. that was the honest to God truth for him, and really all the guys. Could you imagine Parker and Riley doing something that required them getting dressed in suits or something? The thought was just too funny.
making a face at his nickname, she took her coffee, taking a sip of it and already making another face as she realized she had added too much sugar. Oh well. If it got her through the day, then it worked. “I could so drag you. I’d just have to pull your arm just until you fall out of the bunk.” She said, shrugging her shoulders. Truth be told, she wouldn’t even be able to do that. Being five two definitely didn’t really work to a girl’s advantage. She glanced up at his words, and she sighed dramatically as though he was asking a daunting task of her. “Yes, yes. All day. Garret’s out with Kelley and Dayna, no idea where the others are. So. It’s our brother/sister day.” She said, nodding her head with un-needed finality. Pulling her feet up onto the couch and underneath her as she tried to sit pretzel style, she placed her coffee on the table just as he asked her what did she want to do. Frowning, she sighed, shrugging. “Why do I have to pick? Why not you? Don’t be a nice brother. Be a demanding awful one and pick something to do.” really, she had no idea what she wanted to do. It was either finding something to do on a bus, or them both having to go out and just explore whatever city they were stopped in for the day. Both sounded good and bad int heir own ways. Good, because both were fun, bad because one could get boring, one required her moving. And really, it was one of those days wh ere she felt lazy. Very rare, but she took advantage of the days where she felt like just laying on the bus being a lazy person and just kind of sitting there doing something that could not be considered productive.

give me an obstacleI'M GUARANTEED I'LL BATTLE THROUGH Seth would be a liar if he said that ticking Grace off wasn’t any fun. He was a typical sibling in the fact that he enjoyed finding the buttons that made his sister tick, even if it wasn’t the mature or responsible thing to do. ¬Picking on his sister was just something Seth was good at and it was something he planned on doing until the day one of the two died. It was just his way of showing her that he loved her, even when she was being an obnoxious little brat. She was definitely getting her revenge on him right now though by making him get up at, in his opinion, the crack of dawn.
What was it with Grace and staring him straight in the eye when she wanted to make a point? Seth rolled his eyes at her comment, throwing his blankets back. “That’s not how it works. You’re just my gross, weird little sister. I shouldn’t have to do anything for you.” He teased, running a hand through his hair. God, he really needed to get it cut and he wasn’t going to lie: he thought that very thing every morning for the past few weeks. His hair had a tendency to curl and become a mini afro; he liked it but for whatever reason he just didn’t want to deal with it right now. He was kind of jealous of Grace’s straight hair, but hey. Seth wouldn’t be Seth without his fro and glasses. He yawned and began digging through his clean laundry, looking for something to wear. He ended up with a t-shirt and jeans and it didn’t take him long to change. To be honest, Seth had been contemplating a shower, but he knew that he was most likely going to end up working out later, thus forcing the lazy ass side of him to appear. Why shower now when he didn’t need to? Exactly. He quietly went into the small bathroom to do what he normally did in his morning routine: washing his face, brushing his teeth, putting in his contacts, and so on and so forth. It definitely didn’t take him long to get ready; he had always been much faster at this sort of thing than his sister and that probably just had something to do with the fact that he was male. Seth chuckled at that, shaking his head as he walked out of the bathroom, looking much more awake than he had minutes before and the twenty one year old grabbed his mug of coffee, making his way toward where his little sister was seated.
“No, Gracie, there’s no way in hell you’d be able to drag me. I’ve put on weight. It’s all muscle. Anyway, you’re tiny; you forget that you got all the short genes in the family.” He punctuated his little spiel by poking his tongue out at the last line; he loved making fun of Grace’s shortness. He towered over her and had for as long as he could remember. “Anyway, you can’t even look at me when I’m in bed…even by using the bunk below me as a stool. Sucks for you!” He laughed, seating himself beside her and nudged her with his shoulder for the hell of it. He really did miss spending time with her; they got along exceptionally well and Seth was almost willing to call her his best friend…even though he didn’t necessarily tell her the sorts of things that he typically told his best friend. As Grace spoke again, explaining how it was going to be their day, he didn’t reply. Instead, he took another sip of coffee, mulling over her words silently. He finally just raised his eyebrows slightly. “Alright, I’m holding you to that. No ditching me if Garret gets bored and starts begging you to come back. You’re mine all day long. Pinky promise?” With that, he held out his free pinky as a silent sign for her to take it and shake. Pinky promises were extremely serious, after all. Yeah, he knew it was kind of pathetic that at twenty one years old he still took pinky promises as seriously as he did when he was a kid, but hey. What could he say? “You get to pick because you’re a girl. Maybe I don’t want to be mean; maybe I just want to give you a chance to speak up. Don’t you remember bitching about me never listening to you when we were younger?” Seth smirked, reaching over to poke her in the ribs. “Don’t you even deny it, Grace. But, hey, I guess I could pick something to do. Let’s go get breakfast or something. My treat?” Okay, so he was a typical guy and he was always hungry. Working out did that to him and Seth was the sort of guy who loved to pig out on any and everything, even if that meant he had to spend an extra hour or two running it off. And hey, he figured that Grace couldn’t turn down a free meal; she wasn’t that crazy. “But if you don’t want to do that, I could try to cook for you.” Which probably wouldn’t be a great idea. Seth wasn’t known for his cooking skills; Lord only knew that the last time he tried to cook ended up with a burnt attempt at Hamburger Helper…which wasn’t exactly difficult to make in the first place. “So yeah, Gracie, up to you. Sorry.” With that, he leaned back against the couch, taking another long sip of his coffee. Truth be told, he definitely felt much better now that there was coffee in his system. That’s how it always was though; he really had no reason to be surprised.
