“I’ll be back in a bit, don’t worry, Noah.” Stella shouted back at him as she headed down the steps of the bus. Did she really want him to know where she was going, probably not. Probably because he would not really approve of it. Though he had been better about her dating Travis. As long as she didn’t bring it up or say anything about Noah getting along with him, it was perfectly fine. Almost everything had worked out about the situation. Noah and Winter were talking to her again, so long as she did not mention a thing about her and Travis, and she had just gotten back to talking to Garret. Orion was the only problem, and that was the biggest problem because, hell, the kid was her brother. But she figured if she gave him some time before attempting to make peace with him, it would work better. At least tha was what she hoped. The bus rides so far had been painfully awkward. Seeing as she still could not talk to Orion like she used to, it was just awful. As she walked down towards the main street, she wondered idly if she should have taken garret’s offer of having him talk to Orion.
But she decided against it. She really figured giving him some space was the best thing. Thus why she was leaving the bus right now. Course, that really was not the only reason. She was pretty glad that winter pursuit and seduction by design did not have a show together tonight. Or else trying to see Travis would have been extremely awkward. Over the online chat things were…. Well, rather well faked. In person, she knew that it would be like walking through a force field; that was how thick the tension was. She would rather see him alone with his band than with WP. It was just… less awkward. She made sure she had her pass with her; without it she was sure she would not be allowed to sneak backstage. Sadly it was a bit harder to sneak in here than it had been to sneak in back in Los Angeles. She’d learned that the hard way. So, walking across the parking lot towards the arena where seduction by design was performing tonight, she pulled her phone out to glance through her texts. Her last one had been from Travis saying he’d see her after his show. She normally wasn’t the surprise type of person. Honestly, in her last relationship she hadn’t gone out of her way to surprise her boyfriend wherever he was if he had said he’d meet up with her after. Course that was a completely different situation, so she hoped that it did not compare.
Glancing up, she turned suddenly, stopping herself from going through the main entrance of the arena. If she went through that way she’d have to go through all those people and the hassle of that, and she didn’t want that. Instead, she walked around for another five minutes until she reached the back entrance that most of the bands used to make it into the arena without being bombarded by fans that were eagerly waiting to get inside. She was personally thankful she had her pass, or else she would not have even attempted going. Pulling her pass from her pocket, she held it up to the guy who was standing guard in the back. Smiling a small smile in thanks as he waved her through, she walked up the few stairs and walked past the big man and into the back area of the arena. It took her a minute to really think about which way she had to go. She’d already been there the day before when Winter Pursuit had played, but she honestly could not remember the way towards backstage. Was that sad? Possibly. She normally was good with remembering where to go, especially when it involved backstage areas.
She stared around for a minute before she felt that she should give up and ask for directions. But thankfully, her eyes caught sight of a sign pointing towards the general direction of the actual backstage area. Thank you random signs. Pulling her phone out, she glanced at the time. It was nearing nine, so she was sure their set was almost done. She made good timing. As she took a few steps forward, she glanced up; from where she was, she could see the stage rather perfectly, and Travis as well for that matter. Smiling, she looked around until she saw one of the unused amps sitting by her. walking over, she pulled herself up onto it so that she was seated there. Might as well have a seat until they were done, right? Making herself as comfortable as you could be while sitting on an amp, she pulled her phone out as she saw that she had a text from Garret, asking if she wanted to hang. Frowning slightly, she replied saying she was slightly busy tonight, but if he wanted they could hang out tomorrow? Hitting send, she couldn’t help but be relieved at least two of her relationships that had been messed up had been patched up. Now if only Orion could be like Noah and garret…
She looked up as she heard the roar of the crowd grow slightly; it was too loud compared to the band. That was her hint that they were done. Hearing Travis’s voice as he talked to the crowd as they prepared to walk off, she couldn’t help but smile as she put her phone away in her pocket. She really still couldn’t believe how they had turned out. She knew that she should have hated him, since the whole band pretty much hated the band. She knew what it must have felt like to Noah and Orion when it had sort of come out that they were dating. It was honestly her right now; she was perfectly capable of liking and dating who she wanted. So she had had the perfect right to defend her reasoning, even if the three of them had never liked it. she shook those thoughts out of her head, quite literally, as she saw some of the SBD guys coming off stage. She waited until she caught sight of Travis before deciding to talk; she was pretty sure she’d gone unnoticed so far. Hearing his comment towards cash, she couldn’t help but laugh slightly before calling out to him. “It’s so reassuring you care about your band mates so much you know when their operations are.” That was probably utterly lame, but what else could she really say? She liked attempting to be witty, even if it failed epically, like it did just then.
