TELL ME THAT YOU'VE GOT EVERYTHING YOU WANT
&& Y O U R B I R D C A N S I N G
BUT YOU DON'T GET ME, YOU DON'T GET ME
when pierce had first asked jayden why she was going out with garret lee dublin, the first time around, jayden really had no answer. she really didn't know why either. second time around, it was the same deal. jayden didn't mind garret. he was probably the one guy that acted... well, like himself that jayden did not mind dealing with. she really had no idea how she did it. she was rather amazed herself. pierce hadn't minded too much though; surprisingly he had been cool with them dating. even after they broke up the first time, as it had been pretty amicable. jayden wasn't the type to really let failed relationships get to her, honestly. well actually, lie, that was a lie. jayden let it go to her head and all that self-consciousness came right back out. the first time around had been brutal enough for her. jayden didn't lose much weight these days, but in the week following the break up, jayden had dropped weight like no other. it wasn't healthy, she knew it. she just really couldn't help it. she was probably messed up in the head. well that she'd known that from the start. she'd been pretty much mute for the first eleven years of her life, being messed up was sure to follow.
that wasn't the case for now though. jayden honestly had no idea how those thoughts came to her head. it probably was just her mind trying to be occupied as she got changed to head over to garret's. when she was worried, she though tof random things to try and keep her mind off of them. garret really had never been high around her before. sure, she knew he got high. often. she'd heard the whole thing that had gone on with him quitting his band, going to ireland, all that stuff. but she'd never really been around him once he'd started smoking. she wanted to go over and make sure he was okay. sure, tonight probably would not have been the nice, calm night that she had thought they could have, but... well she couldn't think of a but. but she wanted to make sure he was okay. and didn't do anything stupid like get into another fight. that was the last thing she wanted to happen to him that night. god, she was overprotective. if there was one thing jayden really did not want to turn out to be like, it was one of those clingy girlfriends that tried to control their boyfriends and their habits. she hated those girls with a passion, but she was also scared of becoming one.
so, changing out of her sweatpants and tank top, she pulled on her skinny jeans and the blue shirt she'd bought from when she had hung out with cash that one day. she didn't really bother with her hair or anything; she had already been half ready to hang out with pierce for the night when she'd made plans with garret, she felt bad about that still, though. she'd already cancelled on her brother three times to hang out with garret. she'd have to make it up to him soon. going to her closet, she pulled out her sneakers, shoving her feet through them and lacing them up. there. so she was set. now, she just had to get to his apartment. grabbing her keys and her bag, she headed out the door, reaching out to grab her jacket off the coat rack by the door just before the door snapped shut behind her. hearing the lock click behind her, she hopped down the few stairs leading down to the sidewalk as she slipped her arms through the sleeves of her jacket.
having a car would have been so much easier. she knew she'd gone through all this in her head, but jayden couldn't help complaining. when the rain started pouring, she had a legitimate reason. pulling the hood of her jacket up over her head, she quicked her pace just a little bit, but she didn't want to risk slipping and falling in the rain. that would not make this any better. thankfully, she was nearing the second set of apartments where she knew garret's apartment to be. hopping up the few stairs, she glanced through the rain, trying to find his apartment number. if it hadn't picked up this would have been easier. as she stepped underneat the tiny roof on the front porch of his, she pulled her hood off, finally out of the direct ran. shaking her arms off a little ( and the end of her hair, which were soaked ), she was about to knock on the door when she figured that he would probably have kept it unlocked. reaching down for the doorknob, she rolled her eyes to herself as she saw that it was, in fact, unlocked. she would have to talk to him about that... "hey, gar?" she said, closing the door behind her as she took a step in. taking off her coat, she threw it onto the arm of the couch as she turned around. where was that boy... if he was in the kitchen playing with the stove... she was going to be his babysitter alot more than his girlfriend.
