Madison stretched as she rolled over in her bed, pulling half the covers with her as she did so. Her eyes fluttered open slowly and she frowned slightly as she looked out her large bay window. Normally the sun woke her, shining in her eyes too brightly for her to keep them closed. Not today. Summer was drifting slowly and it disappointed her greatly. She wished the sun would have woken her. She loved warm sunny days. But no. Her eyes stared out the window looking at only clouds and rain. Hadn't the weather man promised brighter skies? Had she even watched the weather yesterday? Nope, now that she thought of it, she hadn't. She had been at a concert the previous day so the weather for today was of little importance to her at that time. Now she was at least wishing she could have been warned about the rain. Maybe then it wouldn't have been such a disappointment when she woke up. She sighed and pushed herself out of bed. Rainy days made her want to stay in her warm bed but she would grow bored of that easily, especially if she couldn't fall back asleep and she knew she wouldn't be able to.
She made her way to her bathroom and turned the hot water in the shower on full blast. Rain also made her feel cold. She stepped into the shower and let the hot water pour over her. She was washing away an sweat she had missed from last nights concert. She had showered when she got home, but she wouldn't be fully awake unless she showered before she started her day. It was like her dad with coffee. If he didn't have his coffee, she didn't even want to be around him. He was grumpy and rude without it. She hated coffee. But she loved showers. They woke her up. If she hadn't been dead tired from the All For Dayna concert last night, her shower after would have kept her up all night. Thankfully she had just passed right out after it, smile on her face from seeing her favorite band for the ninehundreth time. She would be seeing them again sometime soon she was sure. She went to all of their shows. She loved them. They were her all time favorite band. She had pretty much every item of merch they sold not to mention a hat or two of Riley's along with a drumstick or a pick thrown out.
Maddie turned off the water, wrapped a towel around herself and stepped out. She had been in there for some time and thanfully the house had more than one hot water tank or someone wouldn't have any hot water for their shower. Another good thing was that her water never got cold. Making her way to her closet, she frowned slightly. It was rainy and chilly and she had tank tops, tees, shorts and capris. Of course she had a few pairs of pants and a couple hoodies, but none that she wanted to wear really. A smirk crossed her features as she got an idea and dressed quickly. She slipped on a tee and a pair of pants for now. She could change later once she got back. Finding her phone on her bed, she called her father quickly. He answered, telling her that he couldn't talk long because he was heading to a meeting. Her dad basically owned Mattel so he was always busy. Mads put on her daddy's little girl voice and told him she only had summer clothes. She added that it was getting a little chillier, not to mention rainier, and he didn't want his little girl getting sick, did he? No of course not. And just as she expected, he told her to get the credit card off her step mom and go get whatever she needed.
Perfect. She dried and straightened her hair quickly before putting make up on and throwing a few things in her purse before finding her step mom downstairs. She was handed the credit card and off she smiled as she got in her car and drove to South Coast Plaza. She parked her car and went inside. She made her way into a few stores before she had to take bags out to her car and come back in again. She loved shopping and she loved clothes. Not to mention she had no limit because her dad spoiled her to no end. Smiling as she re-entered the mall, her stomach growled at her. Maddie found the food court easily as she knew her way around the plaza very well. She ordered a salad and a juice before sitting down at a table by herself. She checked her phone to see if any of her friends had gotten a hold of her. Nothing. She sighed. Where was everyone today? She was going to get bored of shopping here soon and that rarely happened.
